Chapter 3
After saying that, he took the phone and walked to the side.
Tatiana put down her crossed legs and walked over with a proud look on her face, saying, “You must be curious about what Jared and I were talking about, right? Raquel, my dear sister.”
“His company was about to officially announce me as the brand ambassador for their entire line.”
“At that time, the whole world knew that Mr. Lewey chose his wife’s family as his spokesperson…”
“Does this count as rubbing your face on the ground?”
“Raquel Bryd, you wait, I will snatch everything that belongs to you, one by one.”
She raised a bright and provocative smile.
She lifted her hair intentionally to show me the fresh hickey on her neck.
Tatiana and I were half–sisters, but she was raised outside since childhood until my mother passed away, and only then did my father bring Tatiana back.
Once, I also wanted to be good sisters with her, but she always hated me and refused to get close to me.
“Raquel, I hated you. It was you and your mother who took away my father, taking away everything that was supposed to be mine!”
“Tatiana, my mother had no idea that my father already had a pregnant girlfriend when they got married… My mother was also a victim!”
“Shut up! If it weren’t for your mother, my father would have married my mother! You better remember, you are not my sister!”
Dad always felt indebted to Tatiana and asked me to accommodate her since we were young.
Even when she openly tried to steal the wedding at my and Mike’s wedding, Dad only scolded her a few times and immediately replaced her with a new bride.
I once fell into self–doubt, even depression.
It was Jared who pulled me out of the quagmire with full of love and gentle care.
Tatiana repeatedly intercepted my resources.
Jared always urged me, “You should treat your performing career as a hobby. I also want you to spend more time at home with me.”
I was extremely happy in my heart.
Tatiana, however, played multiple roles that were originally intended for me, greatly increasing her popularity.
Now that I think about it, in the entertainment industry, I had more than just Tatiana as my partner.
And there’s my good husband who used to have different dreams every night when we slept together.
“Oh, by the way, Jared came to deliver a script to me. He invested in my new film again and hired the most renowned director and the most luxurious creative team. We will start shooting soon.”
She picked up the paper script on the table and handed it to me.
The cover features several large words – “Rescue Above the Cloud“.
I flipped through a few pages casually, and my heart trembled violently.
In the computer at home, there was a script that I had polished for a whole seven years.
It is adapted from the story of me and Jared, documenting the seven–year marriage between me and Jared, from strangers to falling in love, bit by bit.
Now, however, it was Jared who presented it as a gift to Tatiana.
I was about to question, but I saw Tatiana give a meaningful smile.
Then she raised her hand and slapped herself hard twice, messed up her hair, and screamed loudly, “Ah!”
“Raquel, what were you going to do!”
Jared, who was just about to step onto the RV stairs, hurried over upon hearing the sound.
He looked nervous, without even looking at me, he pushed me away and rushed to Tatiana. He anxiously asked her, “Tatiana, are you okay?”

Tatiana covered her face, tears filled her eyes, and I felt sorry for her.
“Jared, I don’t know… I didn’t do anything, I just invited her up for a cup of tea, and she came rushing over and started hitting me, calling me a jerk…”
Jared looked up at me, his gaze filled with a strange and unfamiliar hostility I had never seen before. “Raquel, I know you have animosity towards Tatiana, but how could you just randomly attack her! Look at what you’ve done to her face, how is she supposed to act in the movie?”
“There were paparazzi outside, once they caught you, how would you handle it?”
I stared straight at Jared, my eyes turning red, but not a single tear fell.
