Chapter 2
Late at night, I tossed and turned unable to sleep.
I remembered the safe that I had never opened before, hidden in the corner of Jared’s study.
This time, it took me only one second to open this safe.
Because I finally found out that the password for the safe was Tatiana’s birthday.
It did not contain as I had imagined, filled with mementos of Jared and Tatiana.
There was only one official seal.
The company name above, however, struck me like a thunderbolt.
This was a company that had nothing to do with me, but I was very familiar with its name.
Because all the movies and TV dramas Tatiana has participated in over the years, as well as the business collaborations, were without exception predominantly invested by this company.
I have always been puzzled.
Why is it that Tatiana, despite constantly being criticized by the public for her acting skills, has even better resources than me, a member of a wealthy family?

In a dark and silent room, mist blurred my vision.
The mobile phone rang with a notification sound, and the suddenly lit screen was particularly dazzling in the darkness.
“Ms. Bryd, did you really think it through?”

It was time to quit their love game among the three of them.
The next morning, the company’s nanny car came to pick me up for the film crew.
Jared personally saw me off and kissed the corner of my lips before parting. “Honey, take care and don’t work too hard.”
I reported today’s notice proactively. “We were going to shoot an explosion scene today.”
Jared was taken aback, “Wasn’t the notice supposed to be filmed next week?”
“It was changed temporarily, and will be relocated in a couple of days, so as to avoid the need for setting up the scenery again.”
He lowered his head and gave me a hug, completely unaware of my probing. “Take precautions and stay safe.”
A heart fell straight down.

In the past, whenever I filmed these high–risk scenes involving explosions, car crashes, or wire stunts, Jared would always coordinate the timing and personally come to the set to supervise.
Time and time again, I personally took the field to inspect safety measures and ensure my own safety.

As soon as the news of Tatiana’s divorce broke, he didn’t even want to pretend to be affectionate with me anymore.
Since that’s the case, I will fulfill this pair of delayed lovers.
During the break in filming, I saw Jared’s consecutive Rolls–Royce in the neighboring set.
Remembering Tatiana, she was the leading actress of this cast.
An impulse to say goodbye to him one last time drove me towards his car.
However, there were only the driver and the assistant in the car.
I got out of the car in a panic when I saw you.
“Madam, Mr. Lewey went to the restroom…”

I understood and approached, knocking on the door of the RV.
It was Jared who opened the door, and behind him, Tatiana’s hair was slightly messy, and her buttons were also fastened crookedly.
Seeing me, Jared panicked for a moment, but quickly calmed down. “Raquel, I happened to see you just when Tatiana was here, so I thought I’d talk to her about some work matters.”
I pulled out a smile and said, “Really? What business do you have to discuss with Tatiana? Why didn’t you tell me?”
“It was a very boring job, you wouldn’t be interested,” Jared said, gently dismissing me.
I was just about to speak when the assistant hurried over and handed me the work phone, saying, “Mr. Lewey, it’s a long–distance call from our partner.”
Jared touched my head and comforted me, “Wait for me a moment, I’ll be right back.”
