The nurse sighed as she looked at him like this and said, “I don’t know, someone took her away this morning.”
Joe hurriedly got up when he heard it and suddenly two traffic police came towards him.
“Mr. Brown, you are suspected of running a red light illegally, please come with us.”
Joe was detained for running a red light and drunk driving. I was lying in a high–end confinement center eating fruit when I received the message.
“What are you going to do now? Joe and Lindsay are now disgraced.”
My best friend looked at the wound on my abdomen and her eyes were red with heartache. “Of course we’re getting a divorce. I don’t want to be associated with a man like this for the rest of my life. Now that things have come to this, Joe won’t agree to a divorce.*

After my body recovered a little, I came to the police station and saw Joe with a stubble face in the detention room.
“Lily, I know I was wrong. Can you forgive me this time?” Joe knelt at my feet as soon as he saw me, looking at me with regret like a devout believer.
“Joe, you used me to get pregnant with your and Lindsay’s child and took those photos of me. Do you think these things can be solved by just saying sorry?” I said nonchalantly.
Joe grabbed my hand with his handcuffed hands. “Lily, as long as you can forgive me, I will agree to anything you ask me to do.”
I lowered my eyes to look at Joe’s face and then took out a stack of information from my bag. “I want you to transfer all the assets under your name to my name.”
Joe nodded without hesitation. “Okay, I promise you.”
I handed the information to Joe and handed him the pen, watching him write his name on it with my own eyes.
After signing, I turned another page. Joe was obviously a little hesitant. Just when he wanted to see the words on it clearly, I held his hand.
“I’m eight months pregnant. Do you know how I felt when I saw the baby being taken out without making a sound? I could still feel his beating in the daytime, but he was taken out of my body motionlessly at night.”

After signing, I turned another page. Joe was obviously a little hesitant. Just when he wanted to see the words on it clearly, I held his hand.

I put the information signed by Joe into my bag, then stood up and looked down at Joe. “Only when you really lose everything will you understand whether the person next to you is a human or a ghost.”
Joe looked at me puzzled and I stopped talking and turned to leave.
“Lily, wait for me to get out. I will definitely take care of you and live a good life in the future.”
I didn’t even stop and strode out of the police station.
“You have no future.” I said shortly.
I took out the information in my bag after leaving the police station and then took out the divorce agreement sandwiched in the middle and called the lawyer.
“Help me get a divorce as quickly as possible.” I hung up the phone immediately.
