Chapter 5
Joe was startled. He didn’t remember when he had any courier.
After taking the big box in confusion, a smell of rust hit his nose. An ominous premonition spread in Joe’s heart and his hand trembled unconsciously when he opened the box.
The moment the box was opened, everyone took a breath of cold air. “Ah!”
Lindsay was even more frightened and screamed. “This is impossible.”
Joe was stunned, the box in his hand fell to the ground, the things in the box rolled out and the dark red blood stained his shoes. Joe’s eyes fell on the back of the box.
On it, there was a row of eye–catching words written in red blood. [I hope you and Lindsay like this gift.]
Joe’s eyes immediately became flustered and then he took out his mobile phone and called me. The phone kept showing that it could not be connected and it was obviously blocked.
“She knows everything, she knows everything.”
Joe muttered to himself, then raised his head with bloodshot eyes and grabbed Zack’s collar. “What did you do to her last night?”
Zack met Joe’s horrifying eyes and hesitated for a long time.
“You also agreed to it! Shouldn’t you ask Lindsay about this? Didn’t she say that the drug had anesthesia, which could temporarily paralyze her nerves and she wouldn’t remember anything when she woke up?” Zack pointed at Lindsay with a trembling hand.
Lindsay was stunned and then grabbed Joe’s hand in a panic. “Joe, I am as sad as you about the loss of the child. That’s my own flesh and blood! I drugged her, but I wasn’t the one who violated her. The bloodstains along the way were obviously left last night.”
Lindsay threw the question back like a scapegoat.
Zack cursed secretly, then looked at Joe and said, “Joe, didn’t you always dislike her? Now that her child is gone, you can just be with Lindsay, right? Yesterday, my brothers helped you try it, her figure is really bad and I don’t know how long it will take for her to recover after giving birth!”
As soon as the words fell, there was a “bang” sound. Joe punched Zack in the face.
“Shut up, Lily is my wife, it’s not your turn to point fingers.”
Joe used all his strength in this punch, Zack was knocked to the ground by him, blood kept coming out of his mouth and two teeth were spat out along with the blood.
