Dylan stayed silent for a moment. In truth, he wanted to tell Hubert. “No trouble, no consequences!” Unfortunately, he lacked the courage.
“Mr. Lawson, Ms. Britney mentioned earlier that she couldn’t reach your phone. The doctor said she’s cleared to be discharged today.”
Hubert arrived at the hospital and went straight to the cardiology department for a thorough examination. Everything was normal. Only then did he head toward Britney’s room.
The door to the room was half–open. As soon as Britney spotted that tall, commanding figure, she immediately tossed the half–eaten banana in her hand into the trash can, quickly lay back on the bed, and opened a live stream on her phone.
“Oh? Britney’s live streaming again. Is this her way of spoiling fans?”
“Or maybe she didn’t mean to? Looks like a hospital wall, and no one’s saying anything
Fans were confused, wondering if Britney had accidentally started the stream. Suddenly, a magnetic, low, and masculine voice resonated through the stream.
“Why don’t you stay in the hospital for a few more days? You’re so frail. I’m really worried about you leaving now,”
As the voice sounded, a perfectly sculpted male jawline appeared on the screen, followed by thin, sensual lips.
“Oh my goodness, it’s Hubert! Britney did say she’d get Mr. Lawson to make an appearance for the fans. Britney really spoils
They’re so sweet! I wish I had a rich and handsome husband like Mr. Lawson!”
“See? Britney and Mr. Lawson are the perfect pair. Natalie, get out of the Lawson family!”
“Natalie, you don’t belong here! Mr. Lawson doesn’t even love you. Aren’t you tired of holding on?”
On screen, the man carefully supported Britney’s hand to help her sit up..
Tra fine, Hugh. You’re overreacting. Compared to the injuries I got in the car accident, this is nothing.”
Britney constantly reminded the man of the injuries she had suffered for him.
As expected, she saw guilt flash across his face. The more guilt he felt, the better he treated her. He would believe her without question, to the point of spoiling her endlessly.
“Even so, you need to be careful,” he said gently.
“Ah, I’m melting! Is it just me, or is Mr. Lawson the sweetest?”
“Nope, I feel it too. My sugar levels are through the roof!”
“Britney, just marry him already!”
“Britney, say yes to Mr. Lawson
“Britney, say yes to Mr. Lawson now!”
Hubert scooped Britney up in a bridal carry. “Let’s go home.”
Britney nodded and gestured toward the phone on the bed.
Dylan immediately handed her the phone.
“Oh?” The woman sounded puzzled. “When did this get turned on?”

“Hugh, where are we going?” Britney asked softly in the car.
“Back to Greenville Apartment.”

Leaning her head on Hubert’s shoulder, Britney felt his body tremble slightly. D’ma it. Why are we going back to Greenville Apartment?
She had heard from Hannah that Natalie had already signed the divorce papers. Why wouldn’t Hubert bring me back to the Norwell Residence apartment? Could he still have feelings for that b*tch Natalie?
When she first found out she was pregnant, Hubert had promised to give their child a legitimate identity. Britney feared that now the child was gone, Hubert might be planning to deny her a rightful status.
But since he divorced Natalie, he must intend to marry her.
“Hugh, it’s better this way now that the child is gone. You don’t have to divorce Natalie for me anymore. I… I want to go abroad…”
