Chapter 23 Taking Commercial Action
The moment Natalie called out “Dad,” her eyes reddened once again.

George Gray’s eyes also turned red. This was his precious daughter, lost for over a decade and now trapped in an unhappy marriage. His heart couldn’t help but ache.
In the video call, the dashing father sniffled. “My sweet girl, don’t cry! Some people aren’t worth your tears. Trust me, one day you’ll meet someone who will willingly take my place in protecting you forever. As for the arrangements at home, Arnold should have told you by now. If you have no objections, we’ll proceed as planned.”
Natalie nodded. From now on, her life would revolve around her family. She would treat them a thousand times better to heal the pain she had caused in the past.
“Dad, how’s Mom?”
Natalie knew her father was a doting husband. It didn’t make sense for him to call her without her mother nearby.
In the video, George furrowed his brows. “I haven’t told your mom about you and Hubert. I’m afraid she’d get too upset, and her heart might not take it… Once she finishes this film, your mom and I will come back to see you.”
Hearing this, Natalie felt even more guilt.
Her mother. Tessa Stone, was a renowned actress. During her younger years, she worked so hard that her heart developed issues. Now, as she aged, her condition must have worsened.
Natalie berated herself harshly in her mind. Knowing her mother had heart problems, she had never truly paid attention to it. When her mother returned this time, she resolved to take her for a thorough checkup.
“Dad, I miss you and Mom. Come back to be with me sooner.”
“Alright. I will as soon as possible. Don’t worry!”
Looking at his daughter, worn out and emaciated in the video, George felt like something had struck his heart with a heavy blow. It hurt deeply to see her like this, knowing how badly the Lawson family had hurt her.
“Sweetheart, pass the phone back to Arnold.”
Natalie handed the phone back to Arnold.
“Dad”
“Arnold, terminate all collaborations with the Lawson family immediately. For the next five years, whenever the Lawson family invests in something, the Gray Group will invest in the same thing
Arnold glanced in Natalie’s direction. “Understood, Dad.”
“If anyone dares to hurt my daughter. I’ll make sure they know the cost is something they can’t afford.”
As someone who had experienced life, George knew that relationships couldn’t be forced.
But after everything Natalie had done for Hubert and the Lawson family, they should at least have shown gratitude. Basic decency demanded it
This time, however, the Lawson family had gone too far. He would teach them a lesson about how to behave!
Arnold ended the call and returned to the dining table.
Benson frowned, clearly upset. “Arnold, didn’t Dad want to talk to me too?”
Benson. “What? Am I just some bonus from a phone recharge plan? You three have your little family meeting and leave me

Natalie sighed. She seriously wondered how she had survived ten months in the womb with Benson without being driven crazy by him.
After the lively dinner, Gavin left.
When Arnold mentioned he didn’t want to stay at a hotel, Benson dashed into the guest room like a monkey and locked the door.
The other guest room was already occupied by Steven. With no other choice, Arnold had to settle for the couch for the night.
“Arnold.” Natalie brought him a blanket and placed her small hands on his shoulders to massage them. “You’ve worked so hard. Let me help you relax.”
Now, all the Gray family business rested on Arnold’s shoulders. The other brothers had their own careers and were unwilling to return home to assist.
Natalie felt immense sympathy for Arnold
Oh, Nat. you’re such a good girl,” Arnold said, closing his eyes and enjoying the massage.
“Arnold, is Dad planning to take commercial action against the Lawson family?”
