“Yeah, did you like them?”
After hearing this, Charlotte felt a lump in her throat, even more upset and frustrated.
She really had been overthinking things.
She had thought the flowers were from Gregory, and had even let herself imagine a whole romantic drama in her head.
But in the end, he hadn’t shown any sign of interest at all.
“Do you like it?” Timothy looked at her expectantly.
Charlotte was silent for a few seconds before replying coldly, “You
should focus on your work from now on. There’s no need to waste time on these meaningless things.”
Timothy’s face froze, feeling as if a bucket of cold water had been poured over him.
In the past, he had never given her any gifts, yet she had still loved him with all her heart.
Now, even when he took the initiative to give her flowers as a gesture of goodwill, she still didn’t appreciate it.
Had she really fallen out of love with him completely?
“Ding!” sounded.

The elevator had arrived.
Charlotte walked straight into the elevator. Timothy snapped out of his daze and quickly followed her in.

Half an hour later.
The driver took the two of them to Palace Feast.
Before the driver could open the door, Timothy quickly stepped forward to open the car door for Charlotte. “Please get out. Watch your step.”
Charlotte got out of the car with a calm expression and turned to instruct the driver, “Wait for me here.”
“Yes, Miss.”
“Let’s go!”
The two of them entered the parking lot elevator, which went directly to the 52nd floor. They had to transfer to another elevator to reach the 88th
floor.
Palace Feast was a revolving restaurant located at the top of Freyburn’s tallest skyscraper. Guests could dine while enjoying the night view of Freyburn. It was also the most high–end three–star Michelin restaurant.
A manager in a tailcoat immediately came forward to greet them. “Welcome, distinguished guests, to Palace Feast.”
“We have a reservation for table eight.”
“Very well, sir, madam. This way, please.”

Table eight was by the window, offering an excellent view. The booth was a uniquely elegant private room, each with a different theme, allowing for both scenery and privacy.

“What’s the main cuisine today?” Timothy asked the manager as he and Charlotte sat down and browsed the menu.
“Sir, madam, today’s main dishes are Boston lobster and T–bone steak.”
As soon as the manager finished speaking, Timothy skillfully closed the menu. “One lobster, two steaks, medium rare. And a bottle of 2015 Romanee–Conti.”
After ordering the main courses, he looked at Charlotte in a gentlemanly and considerate manner. “Lottie, is there anything else you’d like?”
Charlotte casually flipped through the menu and only ordered a salad and mushroom soup.
She had no intention of enjoying the meal with him; she just wanted to get it over with quickly.
“That’s enough. That will be all.”
“Very well, sir, madam.”
Charlotte asked calmly, “Where’s your proposal?”
“Let’s finish our meal first, and then I’ll explain it to you in detail.”
“You can show it to me now.”
Timothy gave her a fawning smile. “Lottie, it’s mealtime now. I don’t want work to ruin the enjoyment of good food.”
Charlotte felt a pang in her chest and said nothing.

There was no way she would ever give him another chance to get back together.
She just wanted to see what other tricks he had up his sleeve.
While waiting for the food.
The two of them chatted idly, on and off.
In the middle of their conversation.
The manager led a group of people to the booth next to them, table nine.
“Please have a seat, honored guests.”
Charlotte glanced up and was surprised to see Gregory and his secretary Natalee, as well as a portly middle–aged man accompanied by a stunning, slender woman with long hair.
