Chapter 3
It was about time.
Timothy stepped out and pushed through the crowd. He said to Gregory, looking genuinely concerned, “Gregory, I looked for Lottie all night. She wouldn’t answer my calls, and I have no idea where she is. I’m worried sick.
“They say she left with you last night. Did she?”
Gregory stared at Timothy, his gaze razor–sharp.
Timothy was indeed ambitious.
He had actually resorted to such dirty tricks just to squeeze him out and take over the Bradford family.
Timothy slyly pinched his thigh through his pocket, looking devastated. “Gregory… Is Lottie really in your room? Did you…”
His men had guarded at Gregory’s door all night, and Charlotte had never stepped out.
So, he was certain she was still in there.
In their past life, Charlotte had run out of the room after hearing the
commotion outside.
With her tangled hair, rumpled clothes, and tearful sobs, everyone had instantly bought her story that Gregory raped her.
Gregory had once been the chosen one in Freyburn.

Chapter 3
He was young, handsome, and capable, and his future was unlimited. Timothy could never be compared to him in any way.
But Charlotte’s accusations had branded him a despicable criminal. For the following decade, he had always been labelled as the rapist.
Gregory’s silence boosted Timothy’s confidence.
He ran toward Gregory’s room, shouting, “Lottie! Lottie, are you in there? Don’t be afraid. I’m here now. I’m coming for you…”
Everyone widened their eyes, eagerly waiting for the drama to unfold.
Timothy kept banging on the door. However, there was still no response after a few minutes.
He frowned, thinking, “What’s going on?
“This isn’t like what happened in
my past life.
“Shouldn’t Charlotte be running out and accusing Gregory by now?
Where is she?”
With every passing second, his anxiety grew. He prayed silently that Charlotte would come rushing out, screaming accusations at Gregory–just like she had in his past life.
But apparently, reality had other plans.

He said, “I bet Lottie’s in here. Someone, go fetch a waiter here and open the door!”
Gregory’s expression grew icier. “Timothy, are you done yet?”
Timothy started to panic a little, but he wouldn’t give up. Instead, he raised his voice, questioning sternly, “Gregory, are you stopping me from

opening the door? Why? What are you afraid of?
“Tell me! What did you do to Lottie?”
The reporters chimed in, “Mr. Gregory, maybe you should just open the door. It’ll clear your name, right?”
“Agreed. Or… is Ms. Lindsey really in there?”
Gregory remained expressionless, his presence overwhelmingly commanding. “What if there’s no one inside?”
Timothy believed otherwise. He braced himself and insisted, “Say no more. We just want to take a look…”
The scene fell into chaos.
Just then, a ding rang out.
The elevator doors opened.
Charlotte and her mother, Kathy Coffey, stepped out one after another.
They were dressed in elegant attire, accentuating their noble temperament
Charlotte wore exquisite light makeup, her waist–length hair cascading over her shoulders. She looked both radiant and dignified.
She was the only one who knew her neck and body bore Gregory’s hickeys. Thankfully, with a concealer and a Hermes scarf, no one else could catch a glimpse.
“What’s going on? What’s with the crowd?” Kathy was stunned at the sight of the crowd.

Timothy was equally slack–jawed when he saw Charlotte.

His men exchanged baffled glances, not grasping what was happening.
They had guarded at Gregory’s room door all night, and Charlotte had never left. This didn’t make sense at all.
Gregory glanced at Charlotte expressionlessly, his nerves tightening.
He suspected that she had colluded with Timothy to plot against him.
But then, the bloodstains on the sheets this morning flashed through his mind, and he was hit by the same shock all over again.
It was actually Charlotte’s first time.
“Good morning,” Charlotte smiled at him calmly, as if nothing had happened between them last night.
After that, she turned to look at Timothy with a half–smile.
“Charlotte, you…” Timothy was stupefied.
“Timo, Jocie called me and said she’s here. Mom and I happened to be passing by, so I thought we’d come join her for some breakfast.
