Chapter 2
Because she knew–any minute now, Timothy would storm in with an audience to ruin her and Gregory.
Came to think of it, this had been his trap all along.
But she was not that lovestruck fool anymore. She’d never let him get what he wanted.
Ignoring the agony tearing through her, she struggled to sit up and get dressed.
Timothy’s men must be guarding the door, so she couldn’t leave through
there.
This book had been added on your bookshelf.
Instead, she slipped onto the balcony, climbed down the exterior vents, crossed to the next one, and vanished into the night…….
At 8:30 a.m.
Timothy’s men stood guard at Gregory’s door, not taking their eyes off it for a second.
Meanwhile, in another hotel room.
“Timo, Charlotte loves you so much. Could you really stand seeing her in bed with Gregory?” Jocelynn nestled against Timothy’s arms, playfully tracing his toned chest with her slender finger with a seductive smile.
Timothy lit a cigarette and blew out a smoke ring lazily. “I don’t love her. She’s just a tool. What I want is to see Gregory behind bars.”

Chapter 2
Timothy wasn’t related to the Bradford family by blood.
mor Mast
His mother had remarried into the family when he was five.
His stepfather was Jerome Bradford, Gregory’s brother.
Jerome had always treated him kindly. However, as Jerome had both physical and intellectual disabilities, Gregory was named the family heir
It meant Timothy could, at best, inherit some cash and non–controlling shares during future asset distributions. To make it to the Bradford Group’s inner circle, he needed to make sure Gregory was out of the picture.
“You don’t love Charlotte at all?” Jocelynn asked.
Timothy curled his lip and impatiently said with contempt, “Her father is a big shot in the Freyburn Department of Finance. Or I wouldn’t have bothered to talk to her at all, much less gotten engaged to her. Now she won’t get off my back. Gosh! She’s so annoying.
Jocelynn asked with a pout, “Then… Will you still marry her after she sleeps with Gregory?”

“Of course. If I act like I don’t mind it at all and still want to marry her, she’ll be so touched.
“But I’m only marrying her to keep exploiting her. Jocie, you’ll always be the only one I love.” He rolled over and got on top of her after his heartfelt confession.
“Stop it! It’s like I can never satisfy you. It’s almost nine o’clock. You should get down to business.”
“That can wait. This is what I want right now.”

Chapter 2
“You’re so bad…” She blushed, pretending to push him away.
As they were about to have another round, Timothy’s phone rang.
“Hello?”
His subordinate Daniel’s voice came through. “Mr. Timothy, Mr. Gregory has come out. You should come over now.”
“I’ll be right there. Stick to the plan. You must make sure he doesn’t leave.”
After hanging up, Timothy quickly sat up and got dressed. “Finally, Jocie. It’s happening.”
Jocelynn was too amped to sit still.
The scandal would surely spread across town in no time. Charlotte’s reputation would be down the drain, and she could never get rid of this indelible mark of shame.

Five minutes later.
Timothy rushed to the scene.
His men and a group of reporters were surrounding Gregory, blocking his
way.
The reporters scrambled to jab the microphones toward him. “Mr. Gregory, someone spotted you and Ms. Lindsey entering the same hotel room last night. Did you spend the night together?”
“Yesterday was her engagement party with Mr. Timothy. Why was she with you?”

“Mr. Gregory, is she still in your room? Mind if we go inside and take a look? Or would you like to clarify?”
Gregory said nothing, his handsome face clouded with banked fùry.
Someone had plotted against him and drugged him last night.
And the worst part was–he had indeed slept with Charlotte.
Apparently, Timothy and Charlotte were behind this.
Just then, his bodyguards rushed over and immediately stood in front of him, separating him from the crowd. “Make way. Mr. Bradford doesn’t do interviews.”
But the reporters wouldn’t let go. “Mr. Gregory, you haven’t answered us. Did you spend the night with Ms. Lindsey?”
Timothy had paid them to be here. Of course, they weren’t intimidated.
