Sandra and Ralph were really screwed up.
Ralph knocked up his fiancee’s cousin! This gotta make the headline for
sure!
Leaving the nurses‘ station, Mariana took out her phone and saw the message from Karlee, “The McKinneys still claim that you and Ralph will be engaged. The engagement ceremony will be held within one week. What do you say?”
“No worries.”
Mariana quickly tapped her phone screen, saying, “Tomorrow, I’ll let the whole world feel I’d be the biggest fool if I still married Ralph!”
“So, there will be a good show tomorrow?” Karlee asked.
“Exactly, but I need your help!” Mariana replied calmly, “Where are you? Let’s meet and talk.”
The two of them met in a cafe and spent half an hour finalizing the plan.
In the end, Mariana gave Karlee the key card to Ralph’s office.
Holding the key card in her hand, Karlee said with anticipation,
“Tomorrow morning, Ralph and Sandra will become Forechester’s biggest laughingstock ever!”

Mariana’s phone rang as soon as Karlee left. It was Logan Baldwin, Natasha’s assistant.
“Ms. Mueller, Mrs. Mueller showed your proposal of the new perfume to the board directors, but they were displeased. Will you come in person?”
“Got it. I’ll be right there.”
Logan was Brenton’s most trusted assistant. After Brenton passed away, it was he who assisted Natasha in managing the company. He wouldn’t have called her if things hadn’t been serious.
Mariana was in a hurry to take a taxi.
A nanny van suddenly stopped by her side. The window was half rolled down, exposing Kamron’s face with his cap pushed low.
Mariana recalled what Edwin had told her. That was, if her leg injury

recovered three days later, she’d have to marry Kamron in secret. Mariana’s eyes darkened.
She got in the car and asked, “What’s the matter?”
“Nothing. Can’t I come and see you?” Kamron grinned.
“Don’t come to me if nothing. I’m busy.”
Then, Mariana meant to leave. Kamron hastened to change his tone and said, “Alright, seriously, my grandpa is coming back from abroad and insists on meeting you. You gotta come to my home this Sunday.”
“Why?”
“Because you’re her future granddaughter–in–law! She rushes back as soon as she knows about you. Just go and comfort her a bit. It won’t take long,” Kamron said carefully, afraid that she might reject him.
But Mariana didn’t intend to agree for real. “I agreed to a secret marriage as part of my deal with Edwin–but meeting your grandmother? That wasn’t part of the deal.”

Then, she got out of the car. Kamron hurriedly chased after her. “It’s negotiable. What do you want? Just name it.”
Mariana hedged and suddenly had an idea, asking, “Are you sure?”
“Yes.”
Kamron nodded seriously.
“Good. As long as you endorse the perfume of the Mueller Group, I’ll agree,” Mariana said firmly.
Kamron was a dissolute playboy. Now that a woman agreed to marry him, of course, his grandma should be excited.
But to Mariana, that was precisely why she dared marry Kamron secretly- she was counting on him growing bored with her soon enough. In that case, it’d be easy for her to get rid of him.
“The Mueller Group specializes in women’s perfume. Is it appropriate for me to be your spokesperson?” Kamron hesitated.
“We’ll launch men’s perfume soon. You can rest assured. I’ll send proposal. You and your agent can take a look first. If you think it’s OK,

Staring at Mariana’s confident face, Kamron smiled bitterly in his heart.
Mariana even got the proposal ready. He was the one who sought her out today. Yet somehow, he felt like he’d stepped into her carefully laid trap.
