The assistant came rushing back in thirty minutes later, breathless and panicked.§

Beckett frowned. “Calm down and talk.”
The assistant took a deep breath. “Delaney’s gone. She left a letter and disappeared. Everything’s gone from her room–clothes, bags, jewelry, everything.”

The next day, Beckett received word that someone had found Delaney. He glanced at the address on the screen and let out a cold, silent laugh. This time, Delaney had nowhere left to run and he was going to uncover the whole truth.
Beckett brought a group of men with him and quickly arrived at the location. As they approached the apartment door, loud moans came from inside.§
