Slap! Slap! Slap!
Alpha Joseph suddenly raised his hand and struck himself across the
face–once, twice, three times–so
hard the sound echoed down the
sterile hospital hallway.
What the hell was wrong with him?
He hadn’t just lost Melissa.
He had dragged her, with his own two hands, straight into hell.
“Alpha Joseph!” a nurse called from down the corridor, snapping him
out of his spiral. “Miss Queenie is demanding to see you.”

His steps halted. The mention of Queenie made his eyes go cold.
Without a word, he turned and strode
toward her room.
Inside, Queenie was already prepared.
She had heard Melissa had lost the pup, and she knew this was her only chance. If she didn’t look broken and
pitiful enough, Joseph wouldn’t spare her. He wouldn’t spare anyone.
The moment he entered, Queenie’s eyes filled with tears as she tried to
sit up, clutching her small baby bump like a lifeline.
But Joseph?
He didn’t even blink.
His mind was chaos. And for Queenie,
he had no sympathy left,

“It’s over,” he said flatly. “Your pup will be terminated. Today.”
Queenie froze, her blood running cold. “Joseph… no! You can’t mean that. I’m carrying your child! I know
you’re hurting from losing Melissa’s pup, but ours–ours is still here. We still have hope-”
She hadn’t even finished before
Joseph let out a cruel laugh.
It was sharp and joyless, and it sliced right through her.
Tears still streaked her cheeks, but
now she looked more like a fool than
a victim.
Joseph stared at the woman curled

on the bed–so delicate on the
outside, so rotten underneath.
He leaned in slowly, then raised his
hand and wrapped it around her
throat.
His fingers squeezed.
Queenie’s face turned blotchy and purple as she gasped, “Joseph… what are you doing…?”
His voice dripped with venom.
“Queenie. Don’t flatter yourself. The only reason I ever believed your lies was because I wanted to believe
them. You think I didn’t know what you did to Melissa? That you staged an assault and blamed her for it?”
Her eyes widened in horror.

He’d always known.
But he had let her stay because he had once thought Queenie reminded him of young Melissa.
He had wanted to test Melissa’s love,
push her boundaries.
And now, because of this imitation,
this fraud, he had lost the only woman who had ever truly mattered.
And Queenie still had the audacity to defy him?
With a grunt, he shoved her off the bed. She hit the floor like a discarded
rag doll.
“Joseph–please!” she sobbed, scrambling toward him on her knees. “I won’t do it again–I swear! I only

chance!”
He kicked her.
Hard.

She slammed into the wall, and blood
quickly stained the tiles beneath her.
“Make sure that bastard pup is
gone,” Joseph spat coldly. “And if you
don’t listen this time, I won’t be so forgiving. My patience is running thin.”
He gave her one last look–his
expression twisted with fury–then
turned on his heel.
But behind him, Queenie began laughing. Hysterical, broken laughter
that echoed like madness.
She screamed through her tears, “You think killing my pup will bring Melissal

back to you? You’re delusional! You murdered her family, Joseph! She’ll never love you again! NEVER! Even if you kill my child, she’s GONE!”
Joseph froze.
His jaw clenched. His fists curled.
But he didn’t turn around.
“After the procedure,” he growled to the wolf guards stationed outside, “destroy her face. Then send her to the red–light district. Let her service.
scum until she dies.”
At that moment, Queenie truly felt fear. She realized that Joseph was
a devil–a man who would utterly destroy her.
“Joseph, I’m sorry! I was wrong!
Please I’m begging you let me go!”

But by the time the wolf soldiers dragged Queenie into the operating room, her pleas had turned into
venomous curses.
“Joseph! That vile woman Melissa- what’s so special about her? If you
love her so much, why did you come after me? This isn’t fair! I hate you! I
hate all of you!”
“Ah! Joseph, I curse you!”
