Chapter 8 True or Dare
On Saturday, Lily attended the banquet.
She wanted one last chance to see everyone and properly say goodbye to her youth.
But what she hadn’t expected was Michael’s arrival.
He had never been one for social gatherings. In the past, it was always her and Jessica who had to drag him along.
Yet today, not only did he show up on his own, but he also brought a date–Melanie.
The night was filled with drinking, singing, and conversations before the group decided to play a game.
“Let’s spin the wheel! Whoever it lands on must complete the truth or dare challenge written at the top!”
Michael had stepped out to take a business call, while Lily, who wasn’t great at games, was nonetheless pulled into participating
The wheel spun, and the first turn landed on Lily
Her dare? A ten–minute kiss with the next person who walked through the door.
Lily stared at the slip of paper in silence.
Melanie smirked. “Lily, if you can’t do it, why not get on your knees and clean my shoes? Then we’ll call it off.”
Lily clenched her fingers at Melanie’s mocking expression.
Since she had little left to lose, she saw no reason to back down.
So, she calmly said, “Tll take the dare.”
Melanie wasn’t surprised. Instead, her smile deepened, a flicker of mischief in her eyes.

Meanwhile, out in the hallway, Michael had just finished his phone call.
As he turned, he noticed a scruffy–looking Rogue strolling past, grinning.
The man spoke loudly into his phone, bragging, Just landed a great deal! Someone paid me to go in and kiss a beauty for
fun!”
Hanging up, the Rogue swaggered toward the private room, wiping his mouth suggestively before reaching for the door.
Just as he was about to step inside, a strong hand yanked him back.
“Excuse me,” Michael said coldly before striding into the room himself.
The room fell silent the moment Michael entered.
Melanie’s expression changed instantly–that wasn’t part of her plan.
Lily also looked at him in astonishment.
Michael seemed oblivious to the situation and coldly asked, “Why are you all staring at me?”
Someone hesitated before answering, “Lily picked the dare. She has to kiss the first person who enters the room for ten
minutes.
Michael calmly took a seat, clearly uninterested in participating. “That’s boring.

Melanie quickly interjected, “Let’s just forget about this round.”
Since Melanie was there with him, everyone dropped the teasing and moved on
The party wrapped up soon after.
Once the crowd dispersed, Melanie privately scolded the Rogue, “I told you to come in sooner!”
He looked aggrieved. “It’s not my fault. That guy yanked me away. I think it was on purpose.
Realizing Michael had likely been protecting Lily, Melanie grew irritated.

She had been Michael’s potential mate for two years, with the Bluemoon Pack’s elders pushing for her to become the pack’s
Luna
But Michael hadn’t made any official introduction during the Harvest Day celebrations.
The more she thought about it, the angrier she got. After sending the Rogue away, she made a call.
The following day, the elders summoned Michael to a meeting.
He frowned and asked, “What’s the point of this meeting?”
“Alpha, the pack needs a Luna,” one elder said.
“Harvest Day is coming up. Don’t you think it’s time to formally introduce your Luna to the pack?”
Michael stayed silent for a moment before responding. There are a lot of external business deals going on right now, so I’ll put the mate issue on hold for the time being.”
The elders exchanged glances, and the eldest among them spoke up, “Alpha, that explanation doesn’t hold up. We all know how crucial Luna is for the pack’s stability. Don’t delay any longer!”
Michael remained silent for a few seconds.
Then, he spoke slowly, Tll introduce Melanie to the pack on Harvest Day.”
