He whispered, wiped away the drop of blood with his thumb, smeared Andrea’s smiling face, “Kids make mistakes, but they always come back home in the end.”
He walked towards the study, his steps steady.
The computer screen lit up, and the login interface reflected his sinister gaze.
Andrea’s phone had location tracking, so he could always see where she had been. He knew all of Andrea’s social media account passwords and could see every private message.
Roderick undid the top button of his shirt, finally able to breathe more easily.
He opened an encrypted folder, inside were Andrea’s travel records, call summaries, and even medical reports from the past seven years.
The blue light from the screen reflected on his face, outlining a cold and stern profile.
“Let me see,” he opened up the data tracking for the past week, “which blind dog man it was.”
Meanwhile, Andrea in the bathroom was pressing her forehead against the cold tiles, trying to calm down her chaotic mind.
She turned on the faucet, letting the sound of water drown out her
sobs.

turned pale from exertion.
The invitation Quinn sent in the chat history stung his eyes.
“Tomorrow at 3pm, afternoon tea at Grand Oasis Hotel, are you free?”
And Andrea’s reply just added fuel to the fire.
“Okay.”
“Well done.”
He chuckled and slammed the mouse hard on the desk.
The little white rabbit became more and more rebellious, and actually wanted to sneak around with other men behind his back.
What was that man thinking? Even a blind man could see through him, yet she still agreed.
This realization made his chest burn with an unnamed fire, like a bunch of poisonous snakes gnawing at his heart.
The bathroom was filled with the faint sound of water, like a blunt knife scraping his nerves.
Roderick suddenly closed all the tabs, got up and knocked over the chair.
He stared at the blurry figure on the frosted glass of the bathroom, his throat tightening: “Andie, you actually betrayed me.”
The shower head was on, Andrea was curled up in the corner, with her phone stuck to her ear.
The water droplets rolled down her trembling back, mixing with tears in the corners of her eyes and splashing on the tiles.

“I booked the flight tickets for you.”
Scarlett’s voice came through the speaker, with the calmness typical of a socialite, “Lucian and them have made up, the greetings are all prepared.”
Andrea bit her hand to stop herself from crying out, the water from the shower washing away the blood seeping from her hand.
“Good mom.”
Scarlett said, “Let me show you a picture of the other person.”
“Okay.”
The phone screen lit up, and in the photo my mother sent, the so–called marriage partner only had a blurry outline, standing on a golf course, not even showing their face.
“Mom, you haven’t told my brother about this yet, right?” Her voice was as light as a feather.
There was a two–second pause on the phone, then a random laughter came through, “Didn’t you say you wanted to tell Roderick yourself? Lucian and I know you’re close with your brother, so we wouldn’t interfere.”
Andrea felt a little relieved, “Thanks, Mom.”
The bathroom door was suddenly knocked, scaring Andrea so much that she almost dropped her phone.
Roderick’s voice came through the mist, deep and terrifying: “Who were you talking to?”
“Mom, Mom asked me how I’ve been recently.” She frantically deleted photos, her fingertips slipping on the screen.
