Chapter 17
As she turned around, she met Roderick’s icy, terrifying gaze,
which made her feel like he was going to eat her alive.
Startled, she asked, feeling inexplicably guilty, “What’s wrong,
Roderick?”
Roderick clutched his phone with his right hand tightly, his pale
knuckles indicating he was trying his best not to snap.
After remaining silent for a long time, he suddenly curved his
lips into a creepy smile. He stared at her like a serpent eyeing its
prey.
Then he said, his voice low and dripping with anticipation for
her reaction.
“Nothing. You’re in for a treat tonight.””
Soon, night fell.
The neon lights in the pub were dazzling. Amid the loud music,
a desperate shriek rang out suddenly.
“Roderick! Spare me!”
Chapter 17
Trembling, Bradley kept bowing to Roderick. His back was in
pain, but he didn’t dare to stop at all, and his face was filled with
terror.
Roderick, dressed in a suit, was leaning against the sofa with a
cigarette between his fingers.
He smiled viciously, “Which hand did you touch her with?”
Bradley pissed himself, trembling even more violently.
“I … didn’t touch her. I was just trying to scare her. Roderick, you
may go ahead and ask her. I really didn’t do anything to her!
Sneering, Roderick bent over and pressed the burning cigarette
into the back of Bradley’s neck.
Bradley wailed out in pain.
The burning cigarette left a red, round mark on Bradley’s neck
instantly.
Roderick’s expression was as indifferent as ever while he
pressed even harder.
“Since you dared to lay a finger on what’s mine, you gotta pay
the price. Remember?”
Bradley was in so much pain that he turned beet red, but he

didn’t even dare to dodge.
Enduring the lancing pain, he muttered, “Y–Yes… I won’t do it
again…”
Some of the onlookers couldn’t bear to see Bradley suffer this
much anymore.
As Roderick’s expression softened slightly, someone braced
themselves and persuaded, “Roddy, this is enough, don’t you
think? Bradley is our friend. Do you really have to do this to him.
for the sake of that homewrecker’s bastard?”
“That’s right. Roddy, don’t tell us you’ve fallen for Andrea.”
Roderick was in a foul mood tonight, treating everyone equally
coldly.
“I know what I’m doing. No one gets to lay a hand on her
without my permission.”
Those present exchanged glances upon hearing this, all of them
sensing something off.
Matilda’s expression darkened the most.
She stiffly sipped some wine to mask her uneasiness, her heart
filled with hatred.
Chapter 17
She thought, “I’ve long noticed Roderick’s feelings for that bitch,
so I asked Bradley to rape her.
“I was so certain Roderick wouldn’t still care about her that
much after she was defiled.
“But things went south.
“Everyone knows Bradley’s my simp, and I asked him to do this.
“By torturing him, Roderick is warning me.”
Terrified by Roderick’s murderous aura, the others didn’t dare
to ask anything. They could only echo with him while trying to
smooth things over.
“Roddy’s right. His big day is finally around the corner. We
shouldn’t do anything to ruin his plan.”
“So true. Bradley, Roddy’s been waiting for years to deal with
Andrea himself. Who gave you the nerve to do that on his
behalf? You totally deserved this.”
“Hey! Shut it.”
Just then, someone nudged his chin toward Andrea, who was
approaching them in the distance.
She was dressed in a simple white dress, which made her stand

out in the rowdy bar.
The second Roderick saw her, his expression instantly softened,
and the coldness on his face was replaced by gentleness.
