Chapter 12
Andrea thought, “It used to be when we did it behind Lucian
and Mom’s backs.
“But not anymore.
“He has already slept with another woman.
“It’s now disgusting.”
Roderick wasn’t physically satisfied. He still wanted more.
He had been forced to suppress his desires ever since Lucian’s
arrival, and his pent–up need was already at its breaking point.
Matilda was here. Otherwise, he would have pinned Andrea down in bed already.
Failing to control himself, he kissed Andrea hard once again.
She let out a low groan.
Yet, deep down, she was filled with disgust.
She couldn’t help but wonder if he had kissed Matilda the same
way the night before.
Chapter 12
The thought of him getting intimate and kissing another
woman made her want to puke.
She retched, forcing him to stop.
Though she wasn’t looking at him, she could almost feel the
heat of his smoldering glare.
After what felt like an eternity, his cold voice rang out above
her head.
“I’m off to work. This isn’t over.”
In the past, she had always played cute, not wanting him to go
to work.
Yet now, for the first time, hearing him say this actually made
her feel relieved.
“Bye.”
She exhaled after watching his figure vanish.
All she wanted to do was go to the bathroom to brush her teeth
hard to get rid of every trace of his lingering scent.
However, just as she turned around, she saw Matilda standing
at the corner, staring at her without blinking.
A chill ran down her spine as she was washed over by a great sense of guilt. Somehow, she felt like a homewrecker being
caught by the wife.
She thought, “How long has Matilda been standing there?
“What did she see?”
She wanted to explain but was worried that it’d make things
worse, so she stood in place, remaining silent.
Matilda was wearing her pajamas, and the suggestive purple
marks covering her neck clearly indicated a passionate night.
Roderick had left, and there were only the two of them at home.
The former gentleness on Matilda’s face had already been
replaced by icy viciousness as she walked toward Andrea.
In the next second, a crisp smack rang out.
She slapped Andrea’s face hard.
Andrea’s cheek was burning at once.
Under the great force, her head tilted away, and she slumped to
the floor.
But the physical pain was nothing compared to the great
embarrassment and shame that surged within her.
Matilda spat, “Obviously, I didn’t give you enough credit.
“How dare you seduce my fiance right under my nose?”
Andrea bit her lips hard, feeling so aggrieved.
She thought, “I seduced him?
“All I want is to stay away from him!
“The current situation isn’t entirely my fault. Why is she
pinning it all on me?”
She said, “I’ll be leaving soon. You won’t see me again. What else
do you want?”
The more she said, the more furious she became. Roderick
picked on her, and now his fiancee, too?
At this, she stood up and slapped Matilda’s face hard, venting
her pent–up rage of the past few days.
Matilda was stunned, not expecting Andrea to slap back at all.
Covering her face, she said, widening her eyes, “You bitch! You
hit on your own brother…”
Chapter 12
Just then, steady footsteps rang out.
Matilda immediately swallowed her words back and smiled
brightly, as if she had suddenly become a different person.
“Andie, what would you like for breakfast? I’ll cook,” she said.
Behind her, Roderic walked over.
She pretended that she had just heard his footsteps and turned
around in surprise.
