Chapter 7
Joshua stared at me with shock written all over his face. His lips moved, but no words came out.
Amelia gasped and gripped Joshua’s arm tightly, her fingernails digging into his skin. “Joshua, her eyes… This can’t be real!”
Joshua shoved her away roughly.
He stepped closer, trying to grab my hand, but I quickly moved back. “Sir, if you have something to say, say it. Don’t touch me.

Just then, the curtain behind me was lifted, letting in a faint scent of sandalwood.
A tall‘ figure slowly appeared. He wore a black suit that made his pale skin seem even whiter, and on his wrist was a bracelet made of ruby beads.
He positioned himself in front of me, idly flicking one of the beads with his fingers. His voice was cold and sharp, “Mr. Harvick, we have our own
rules.
“To fix your situation, you’ll need to trade your health and luck. So, are you ready to make the deal?”
Joshua’s eyes widened. “It’s you…”
He remembered this man from before. The first time I came to trade my sense of taste to help him pass the SAT, I’d been too scared to go alone, so I dragged him with me.
This man was the one who met us then.

Chapter 7
Andy Truman gave a small laugh, but his expression remained cold. “Our movie star, Mr. Harvick, sure has a sharp memory. You’ve done well by relying on a woman’s luck and bodies!
Joshua asked, “What did you do to Priscilla?”
He had countless questions in his mind.
“Why is she here?
“And her eyes, why can she see again?”
Andy slowly turned the beads on his wrist. Under the lights, the ruby beads shimmered with an eerie glow..
He suddenly leaned in close and murmured in my ear, “Priscilla, could you head to the back and make some Colombian espresso?”
I gave a slight nod and walked away. I didn’t mind felt like this was just how we naturally interacted.
“Priscilla!”

Joshua shouted and tried to follow after me, but he slammed into some kind of invisible wall that blocked his path.
Andy calmly pulled out a stack of yellow slips. Each one was written in blue ink–the deals I had signed personally over the years.
“With my sense of taste, I traded for Joshua’s success in the SAT.”
“With my health, I traded for my beloved’s bright future.”
“With my fortune, I traded for Joshua to become a global superstar.”
Every deal was clearly written, showing just how much the old Priscilla had sacrificed out of love for Joshua.

Chapter 7
Joshua could barely stand to look at the thick pile of papers.
His hands curled into tight fists.
Andy said, eyes cold with sarcasm, “So, what do you want your woman to give up now? Her life?”
He let the words sink in before continuing with a cruel smile.
“Too bad. You’re too late. She’s already traded her most important memory.”
Andy pointed slowly to one of the contracts on the table and continued, “In exchange, she’ll live her life without love or feeling, but in good health.”
Joshua’s face turned pale instantly, like he’d just been stabbed straight through the heart.
He assumed I had been too caught up in handling things for him and accidentally left behind the bloodstone.
Now, it was clear that I had completely separated myself from him. I had traded my memories, all to forget him, to cut every thread of love and
mercy.
I walked back in, holding the coffee tray.
The mood in the room felt strange. Everyone seemed to be lost in their own thoughts!
Still, I remembered exactly what my boss told me to do.
Wearing a polite smile, I passed out the coffee and spoke, “Sir, Ma’am, my boss mentioned you’ve committed a murder. You can’t just offer anything when trading. It needs to be something big, like a lifetime of luck and health, or even half your lifespan. Think it through and choose who’s

going to make the deal.”

Joshua’s hand trembled violently, so that the cup slipped from his fingers and crashed to the floor. The hot coffee splashed all over his expensive suit, but he didn’t flinch.
His eyes locked onto mine, as if he were desperate to find some sign that I was faking. But I just looked back calmly, like I was staring at a stranger I’d never met before.
“Priscilla…”
His voice cracked, barely more than a whisper. “Do you really… not
remember me?”
