Chapter 19
But Aurora knew Grayson wouldn’t give up easily.
He knelt outside the apartment building all night.]
Early the next morning, Aurora deliberately left early, but on her walk to the hakery, a red sports car suddenly appeared like a ghost, following closely behind her.]
“Rory, give me a chance to atone, please?”
I know I’m a bastard who doesn’t deserve forgiveness. No matter how I kneel or punish myself, it can’t compare to even a fraction of your despair.”
“But I never wanted a divorce! I’ve put Evelyn in a psychiatric hospital. I never liked her for a single moment.“]
His pleading words made Aurora frown deeply.]
These noisy declarations were truly annoying…
Aurora deliberately stopped walking, folded her arms, and looked coldly at the man in the car. But before she could open her mouth with a sarcastic retort, a Rolls–Royce Phantom approaching from behind deliberately accelerated, crashing hard into the sports car’s rear
BANG-
The impact deformed the rear end, sending the car sliding into a roadside tree.]
A man emerged from the culprit vehicle’s driver’s seat, wearing a light gray suit as he strode to the sports car.
Julian Vaughn bent down, glanced at the shocked Grayson in the driver’s seat, and tossed a business card inside.
“Sorry, sir, you were blocking the road, crawling along at a spatta pace, disturbing others. I found it quite irritating.”
His handsome features relaxed slightly. “Contact my assistant for subsequent repair arrangements.”
Like Grayson, Aurora was equally shocked. She ran over to check on Julian: “Why are you here? Are you hurt?”
Julian regarded her calmly: Last night I suddenly received a text from your roommate saying you might be having some trouble.“]
Aurora felt a warmth in her heart and smiled awkwardly: “But it seems resolved now. Let’sgo.“I
With that, she moved to get into Julian’s car. The obvious familiarity between them instantly ignited Grayson’s emotions
He quickly pushed open his door and rushed over, grabbing Aurora’s wrist tightly: “Rory, who is he?]
“Don’t leave. I won’t let you go with him.” His insistent words were utterly unreasonable
But the next second, a sharp pain that through his shoulder as jullan forcefully removed his grip from Aurora’s arm
“Can’t you see you’re hurting her?” Julian said, smoothly positioning himself between them. “Mr. Hart, let me give you some friendly advice–stop the Tarassment. After all, a decent ex husband should act like he’s dead. ||
The term ex–husband” hit Grayson Like a slap across the face[]
He stood there defeated, watching Aurora climb into the passenger seat of that car, whispering desperately: “Rory, I’ve been kneeling outside your building all night, and I’ll continue kneeling. Can’t you give me one last chance? I’ll do anything if you’ll forgive me.”
Aurora just gave him a cold, sardonic look. “Kneeling once is nothing. Grayson, I kalt before you ninety–nine times. And remember when you locked me in that confinement room? I was hitten by insects for twenty four hours. That night, not une inch of skin on my exposed arms was undamaged. But when I woke up, what did you say?
“You made the pull thorns from those rough branches with my bare hands, forced me to sand them all night for Evelyn’s bracelet. You’ll never know
how it felt when those thorn splinters mixed with blood and stuck in the cracks of my fingertips.”
Grayson’s expression grew increasingly pained: “I’m sorry, L.”
“Of course, beyond letting others mock me, you personally delivered me to a pervert for a meaningless ring just because Evelyn said she liked it. I was stripped naked, photographed with nothing on. That night, I hated you to death. That slap I gave Evelyn was originally meant for your face!”
*Please stop…” Grayson couldn’t bear to hear more, his face deathly pale. “Please. Rory, no
