“Defect! Who is she defecting to? Xavier?” Ethan’s temples throbbed, veins bulging on his wrists as he slammed his fist on the table.
“Fuck! Xavier!”
His sudden outburst startled Lily, who had just changed clothes and rushed over.
Ethan suddenly shouted at the men outside:
“Everyone! Leave the island! Find Aria at all costs!”
“Even if you have to raid Xavier’s hideout, find Aria for me!”
Though Ethan was furious, Lily couldn’t help feeling a bit smug. She clung to Ethan’s arm and whined:
“Ethan, you’ve put so much effort into our wedding. It’s just one subordinate missing, we can look for her after the wedding. Everyone’s watching, don’t ruin the mood, okay?”
“You’ve waited so long, we can finally be together. The wedding absolutely cannot be interrupted.”
But Ethan’s mind was in chaos now, unable to hear anything she said.
A thousand threads tangled endlessly as Ethan still couldn’t understand why Aria would leave him.
Just hearing that Aria had taken all her ID documents made his palms tremble imperceptibly in panic.
Ethan instinctively wanted to leave the hall to find Aria, but Lily absolutely wouldn’t allow any accidents at the wedding.
She tightly grabbed Ethan’s arm, looking pitiful:
“Ethan, where are you going? Everyone’s watching us!”
“You can’t leave me here. Absolutely not, husband!”
Her tug made Ethan pause, his face showing reluctance.
Lily cried, her face covered in tears, nearly fainting: “Ethan, Aria admires you so much. How could she bear to leave?”
“This must be a trick to lure you back. If you really go back, you’ll fall for it!”
As if enlightened by Lily’s words, Ethan thought for a moment, his expression returning to normal. He coldly snorted:
“You’re right. She’s followed me for so long, loves me to death. How could she bear to leave?”
“She must know I’m getting married, so she’s throwing a tantrum, deliberately trying to lure me back. She really is…”
The man was still standing below waiting for orders. He pursed his lips and asked: “Boss, should we still look for her?”
Ethan pulled Lily back to the center of the altar, glancing at him impatiently:
“No need. Let her stew for a while. She’ll show up on her own after the wedding’s over.”
“From now on, no one is allowed to interrupt the wedding again. If you don’t have any sense, you don’t need to live!”
With Ethan’s warning, the sacred wedding music started again. The other men who came to report went back down the yacht.
No one cared about who was missing anymore.
Ethan and Lily exchanged rings and shared a deep kiss amidst a shower of flowers and everyone’s blessings.
The wedding was complete!

After getting off the yacht, Ethan finally ordered his men to look for me.
Then he rushed to my room. Seeing the unchanged layout, Ethan still thought I was just throwing a tantrum. Anger rose as he started questioning:
“Aria, you’ve played long enough. The wedding’s over, you should come out now.”
“Don’t think I’ll always indulge you so you can do whatever you want. You interrupted my and Lily’s wedding several times today. You must apologize to Lily, or I won’t forgive you!”
Controlled by anger, he ransacked the room, wanting to find clues to where I might be hiding.
But some ID documents and personal clothes were indeed missing. He couldn’t help overthinking.
Was Aria really serious?
He suddenly saw a familiar diary when he pulled open a drawer.
It was the one he had sent to Lily last time when he thought he was going to die.
But he was confused why the diary was in my drawer.
Ethan was stunned. He instinctively opened it and saw my handwriting on the cover page.
“Get lost, Ethan! I’m done serving you!”
His hands shook as he flipped through to see what exactly he had written before.
After skimming through, he found that every sentence was like an icy knife stabbing me.
He seemed to put himself in my perspective, feeling choked by these words, unable to breathe.
Ethan only now realized how absurd his past actions must have seemed to me.
His phone suddenly vibrated. He received an anonymous message:
“Finally got your karma?”
