Even though I wasn’t looking at him I knew he had probably rolled his eyes at me, but I didn’t comment on it.
“You know the annual Crescent Ball is next week.”
“So what I’m not going”
“You’re the king you kind of have to go man.”
I growled in annoyance. “I said I’m not going
This time I was answered by a different voice.
“Titus Ezra Lockwood, you will be attending this ball because I said so.”
I let out an exasperated sigh. Great my mother is involved, I should have known better.
“Mom I’m not going, a date is required and as you can see mine is a bit preoccupied trying to stay alive.”
“That’s why you will be taking Tatiana. I’ve already told her she will be attending with you, wear a red tie.”
I growled in annoyance.
“Don’t you dare growl at me Titus. Don’t make me call your father. Now you are the king you need to start acting like it, You’re taking Tatiana whether you like it or not. Now I want to talk to you about something very important
I didn’t even bother to respond, I knew she would talk no matter what I said so I just stayed turned staring at my mate.
“Now Titus, you’re the king now and as you know every king is required to have a queen to rule alongside him mate or not.”
Still turned away from her I answered. “Tm aware of the rules mom, I have a mate so I have nothing to worry about and neither do you.”
“Well she can’t be of any help if she’s in a coma. I want you to make Tatiana your queen.”
This time I turned around while letting out an angry growl.
“What did you say?”
“I said you need to make Tatiana your queen, you need to marry her, I’ve already told her and we’ve started planning the wedding already, we’ll do it after the ball next week.”
She was absolutely beaming with happiness and it angered me to no end.
“I will do no such thing! I will not take her to the ball and I sure as hell will not marry that bitch!” I roared.
“Titus don’t you dare talk to me that way! You will do as I saw because it is what is best for you.”
I tried to reign in my anger, but it was a futile attempt.
“And what do you suppose I do with my mate? Do you want me to keep her on the side as a mistress or would you rather I just get rid of her and send her away?”
And without a bat of an eye she said with absolute certainty “Yes, that’s exactly what I expect you to do.”
Luckily Michael was fast enough to pin me against the wall before I lunged at my mother’s throat. My loud growls must have alerted the guards I had posted at the door because they, along with my father came rushing in. The guards helped Michael pin me to the wall, just barely.
“Titus calm down!”
I completely ignored my father’s command and continued to struggle against my captors. Lucky for them though, Michael knew exactly what to say to calm me down.
Titus, man you need to calm down, what if she wakes up right now all she’s going to see is you trying to attack your mother, she’ll be afraid of you.”
The thought of my mate fearing me calmed me down immediately and a shot a glance over to her to see if she was awake, but as she had for the last two months, she was asleep,
I nodded at the men holding me back, letting them know that I had calmed down and they let me go. I could tell my father was angry because he yelled, it wasn’t something that he does often.
“Will someone explain what the hell is going on in here?”
“Why don’t you ask her dad.”
He turned to my mother. “What’s going on Christina?”
“He’s making a big fiasco out of nothing. I simply told him that he will be taking Tatiana to the ball next week and that since his mate is in a coma and therefore useless for the luna position, he will marry Tatiana and she will be queen. It’s already planned out and that’s how things will be.”
My dad looked beyond shocked that his wife, his mate, would suggest something like that.
“And what is he supposed to do with his mate?”
“I simply suggested that he either keep her on the side as a mistress or he could get rid of her, send her away to a different pack.”
I let out another vicious growl. My father looked appalled at the words that had left my mother’s mouth.

Chapter 3-2
My dad looked beyond shocked that his wife, his mate, would suggest something like that.
“And what is he supposed to do with his mate?”
“I simply suggested that he either keep her on the side as a mistress or he could get rid of her, send her away to a different pack.”
I let out another vicious growl. My father looked appalled at the words that had left my mother’s mouth.
“Christina what has gotten into you, I know you only care for his well–being but he’s a grown man, he can make his own decisions. Now let’s leave so he can calm down and spend some time with his mate.”
They left the room in silence. I looked around at the men in the room, happy to see that they felt the same way I did, but I needed to be alone so I sent them all out.
I walked back over to my mate and traced my finger gently down her jaw.
“I need you to wake up now sweetheart, please.”
