Chapter 16
Noah and Jasmin sighed deeply and shook their heads in disappointment.
What’s the point of bringing these up now? Hannah and Brielle are both gone, it doesn’t make any sense.
In the end, Noah and Jasmin said nothing, and they took Hannah’s ashes back home. They planned to bury her in the cemetery she had purchased before after completing the funeral arrangements.
Shawn covered his chest and felt a little better in his heart.
Then he got home, he was surprised to find the flowers in the vase had withered, Hannah was not there, no one had aken the time to arrange the flowers properly, and they had even forgotten to replace them.
The throw pillow on the sofa still retained the scent of Hannah, as I turned on the TV and found that the program was still paused at where she had last watched.
The paintings on the wall were painted by her own hands. When she first moved in here, she was full of anticipation, decorating this home and looking forward to spending the rest of her life with him.
However, it was he who destroyed her beautiful fantasy with his own hands, leading them to the current situation.
Shawn also wanted to tell himself that Hannah had already passed away. He should listen to what she had said, let go completely, and start a new life.
But he seemed unable to do it.
Every corner of the house is filled with traces of Hannah’s past life, as if she were still here.
In a daze, he seemed to have seen her figure in countless places.
However, upon closer inspection, it was all just his illusions.
The illusion disappeared, leaving his heart empty and aching.
Shawn lay casually on the sofa, imitating Hannah’s past posture, trying to curl up into a ball and deeply inhaling the scent that belonged to her on the pillow.
“Hannah… I miss you… Hannah… I regret it…”
He weakly buried his head deep in the pillow, wishing he could sleep like her, completely, and go to another world to find them, and start a new life with them.
But he couldn’t.
Just because Hannah said she needed him to help take care of her parents.

Chapter 16
Shawn was filled with loneliness all over his body.
In the cold and lonely villa, only loneliness was left behind.
At some point, he fell into a deep sleep, exhausted.
When he was in a daze, it seemed like he had a very long dream.

In the dream, it seemed like I went back to the day when James and Brielle held hands and met each other’s parents.
James looked gently at Brielle, his eyes filled with unbreakable love, and said firmly
“Mom, Dad, Mr. and Mrs. Yanetta, we have been together for a long time and now we have decided to get married.”
Brielle also smiled shyly and nodded.
The parents of both families were somewhat shocked, but more than anything, they were happy. They were talking back and forth, eager to immediately finalize the marriage.
But no one noticed the pallor of Hannah’s face as she stared fixedly at James, feeling a sour and piercing pain in her heart.
Tears rolled down silently, lips bitten until they bled. Mustering up courage several times, she still didn’t dare to say anything that would ruin their good mood.
She ran out, wiping away tears, while no one was paying attention to her.
This time, before James and Brielle could even realize Hannah’s disappearance, Shawn recklessly chased after her.
In his memory, when he found out that Brielle was going to marry her older brother, he also felt very jealous and heartbroken, not noticing that Hannah was acting strangely.
But now that he had finally had a dream, he was determined not to make the same mistake again!
Shawn ran as hard as he could, constantly searching for Hannah’s whereabouts.
Faster! Even faster!
In the dream, this road seemed endless, he didn’t know how long he had been running, only feeling extremely sore all over his body, with the taste of rust filling his throat.
But he still did not stop walking.
After some time had passed, he finally found Hannah in a corner, her eyes swollen from crying and looking particu- larly pitiful.
“Hannah, don’t cry, if you cry again, you’ll really turn into a pig!”
Shawn unconsciously spoke hurtful words, awkwardly trying to comfort.
