Chapter

I still followed Elliot back to the villa

Although there was no longer any connection between us, there were still some things I wanted to take with me

There were photos from my childhood, precious memories of my adoptive father and brother

These were items I had to take with me

As for the gifts he had given me during our time together, I didn’t want any of them, leaving them perfectly intact where they were

I continued with my usual responsibilities, preparing a table of his favorite dishes

At the dinner table, Elliot unusually asked, Tomorrow is your birthday. What would you like as a gift?”

I was stunned that the busy Elliot actually remembered my birthday

After pondering for a long time, not knowing what to ask for, I finally said, “I’ve told you many times, I want to go to the amusement park. If you have time, could you accompany me there just once?”

Chapter

He agreed without hesitation

For him, it was merely sacrificing one day off

But for me, it was a wish I had expressed for three years that had never been fulfilled

The next morning, I got up early and waited for him at the door

My luggage was packed, and the things I needed from the room had already been sent to my new address

According to Elliot’s habits, he usually left around seven o’clock

Sure enough, he appeared right on time

Three years had indeed left some of his marks on me, such as my familiarity with his biological clock

He drove me to the entrance of the amusement park

There was a long queue at the entrance

Everyone was either with friends, lovers, or family, creating a very harmonious atmosphere

However, Elliot’s expression looked particularly awkward

After all, he had always disliked crowded places

Noisy, troublesome, childishthese were all things he couldn’t tolerate

Chapter

But I was exactly the opposite; I loved this atmosphere

When it was our turn to check tickets, Elliot’s phone suddenly

rang

His expression froze instantly, and he stuffed the tickets into my

arms

Lucia’s voice came from the other end of the phone, Eli, I want to attend an engagement party, but he won’t give me a ticket. What should I do?”

Her voice was coquettish and pitiful, almost making even me soften, let alone Elliot

Without a word or explanation, he left me and hurried away

I stood alone, holding two tickets, not knowing whether to laugh

or cry

I wonder if I have the honor of accompanying the birthday lady around the amusement park today?”

Just as I was feeling disappointed, Jared appeared before me wearing a plush headband, placing another one on my head, and walking up to me with a bright smile

I immediately felt relieved and nodded in agreement
