Boola Chapter 68
“Is safe.” A soft voice spoke making us all turn to the door
A girl with long black hair and cloudy grey eyes stood tall. Glaring at Heath before rushing to Ben
Wrapping his arms around the small girl, Ben began to kiss the top of her head. Whispering into her ears making her sob. Wrapping her arms around his neck she pulled him down and kissed him. Looking away I stepped back in surprise.
“Alpha Embers.” I breathed out staring at the elder man making his way into the room with his security behind him, as well as his wife
“Hello darling.” He smiled sadly squeezing my hand as he walked to his sons side
“What are you doing here!” Heath split out as he looked around like a caged animal.
He couldn’t run and he knew it. It was over
We came to say goodbye son.” Alpha Embers replied smoothing down Heath’s dampened brown locks.
Heath shook his hand off and tried to move away only to howl in pain.
“Please Heath. Stop this. Please!” Mrs. Embers cried as she stood in the entryway, Covering her mouth with her palm she looked away from her son as tears slid down her paled cheeks
“Mother…” Heath groaned before he clutched onto his chest. The poison was only minutes away now
‘‘I’ll give you time.” “I mumbled loolding to the floor as I rushed out of the room, Ben and Katrina following after. Running out I could still hear Mrs. Embers cry out as Heath let out a scream of pain.
Making my way outside I took in the sight
My pack stood to the right side checking, res and colloering those who had died
To my left stood the Embers pack restraining Heath’s pack as they heard their Alpha’s cries.
“There you are!” Throwing my arms around Caleb I took in his scent and allowed my body to relax into his hold.
He was safe. We wore okay. It was over.
“Why don’t you ever listen!” He growled before taking my lips with his
Smiling I kissed him back my fingers intertwining in his hair.
Th pack house had bren silent in grieving as we arrived with the bodies of wolves that were lost
A total of sixty.
Sixty of our family members died because of me, because of a crazed man
“Habe its not your fault.” Caleb whispered his hold on my waist tightening as he kissed the side of my head.
Nodding, I smiled softly at him as he was called. 1 continued walking with my head low
It was my fault.
And their death would follow me everywhere
Walking down the row of bodies I took in every detail of my family.
Some were young- eighteen was the youngest And the eldest had been thirty. Each one had a family mourning at their side.
Peter
Covering my mouth I choked down a sob as I took in the young mangled body that belonged to Peter.
A boy I had spoken to yesterday. Who had blushed so easily. He had been there, at my apartment when they came
“Peter, have you seen Pete? Mc. Dawn have you seen him?” Looking around my gaze fell on a five year old girl pushing her way through the mourning
crowd.
As her brown eyes caught my own she looked down and froze.
