I cringed and backed away from him as he stepped closer. “He missed Jake.” I whispered too scared I would burst out in tears as betrayal and anger flashed in his cold blue eyes.
“It’s your fault. You ordered him to stay away. You never thought how it would affect the kids.” I growled remembering how he ordered Jake to stay away from me.
He had no right to have a say who I spent my time with. He was engaged, and not to me. As heartbreaking as that was.
“He shouldn’t be spending time with MY family! You guys are mine!” He growled stepping closer. I let out a low three growl warning him to stay
away, which he responded with one of his own that made me shiver in delight.
This mate attraction will be the end of me.
“Don’t forget I’m your alpha.” His wolves voice said threateningly. “YOU don’t forget I’m your equal. I’m your mate.” My wolf responded protecting me from the fury of her mate.
“Submit Rosette.” He growled calling my wolf by her name–my middle name. “You know I won’t do that Antoni. I won’t submit to someone who has hurt us repeatedly. You don’t deserve us.” She hissed stepping forward making him wince.
“We never ment to.” He sighed his dark blue eyes slowly going back to his ice blue eyes. Meaning Caleb was coming through–just as I was.
“Before you go if you ever lay a hand on us again. We will tear you to pieces.” She said nonchalantly but the threat was as clear as day.
As much as it hurt her to threaten the love of her–our- life. We had two lives that we needed to be strong for. And she would never let someone push her around. Not after everything we went through.
“I did that.” I snapped back into reality as I felt him grab my arm and trace the now yellowing finger prints. I gasped as I felt the familiar shocks run up my arm that he held.
“I think you should go.” I said pulling my arm away from me. He frowned and stepped forward as I backed away. Now that my wolf was drowning in sadness I had to admit I was a bit afraid of him.
When Caleb was mad- he was a blood thirsty animal. He nodded and turned opening the door. As we walked to the front door he paused and pulled a suprise embrace. “Please don’t be afraid of me love.” And with that he was gone.

I slowly shut the door and bit my bottom lip drawing blood. “Ariana.” I smiled at a sleepy Jake and tole him to go back to sleep. Which he immediately did. After that I checked on Zoey. Her hair was up in a pretty bun and she had a new set of Ariel pj’s. I gently laid a kiss on her forehead before turning on her night light and shutting her lights off.
After that I laid down next to Joey and shut my eyes. The only thing on my mind was… was I afraid of Caleb?
