Lastly…. for making me fall for his charm once more.
“Ari–I’m ready!” Zoey interrupted stumbling on her feet as she ran into the kitchen. “Great. Lets go Princess.” Caleb smiled clearing his throat. “Have fun baby. And no candy okay.” I sniffed fixing her jacket and keeping my eyes casted down to make sure she didn’t see the tears pooling in my eyes. “I promise mommy! I love you.“she smiled softly kissing my cheek as she walked over to Caleb.
“Bye baby… Bye Alpha.” I slightly bowed. From now on, Caleb will be my Alpha. Nothing more. Other than the twins father of course. But soon he’ll have his own children he’ll see grow from a fetus. He’ll forget about all of us.
“Bye Ari.” He replied shaking his head as he grabbed Zoe’s hand and led her out the door.
As soon as he shut the door I breathed in deeply controlling the urge to run after him and beg him to take me back. To not forgot about us. But I had to be strong. I held onto my chest as the familiar pain hit me.
“Mommy are you okay?” I jumped startled to face Joey who was sadly gazing up at me. “I’m fine baby.” I assured him standing up straight and pushing the pain away. “Come on let’s get the living room ready. Jacob’s coming over.” He grinned up at me before rushing into his room to pull out blankets.
I laughed and started to push the couches until there was enough room for Joey, Jacob and me.
“Done!” Joey cheered as he laid the last Cars blanket on the floor. “No we’re not.” I gasped. “What we miss mommy?” He gasped looking around the room. “We have one stinky little boy and one over dressed mommy!” We both gave each other horrified looks before bursting out in a fit of giggles.
“Lets go shower and change into comfy clothes.” I suggested. He quickly nodded kissing my cheek before running off to his room grabbing his cars pjs and shutting the bathroom door.

After we finished showering we put in some brownies in the oven while we were waiting for Jake.
“Honeeey I’m home!” Jake sang as he bursted through the front door. “Jake!” Joey yelled dropping his spoon with chocolate to run into Jacob’s arms.
“Hey there Jo.” Jake laughed hugging him back. “Hey Ari.” He said putting Joey down and coming to kiss my forehead. “Hey.” I smiled wrapping my arms around myself.
“Guess who brought … Cars the movie!” He yelled pulling out a stack of movies. “Cars! Mommy he brought Cars!” He cried out jumping up and down.
“Why dont you go put it on baby.” I laughed handing him the case. As soon as he got ahold of it he ran off to the living room.
“Popcorn?” I asked walking ahead to the kitchen. “Of course.” He chuckled jumping on top of the counter. “With Limon and Chamoy.” We both yelled out laughing. “I also brought some sour patch kids for joe and Zoey. Where is she by the way?” He frowned taking out the candy from his jacket.
“She’s with Caleb.” I mumbled closing the microwave. “What the hell is she doing with him!” He hissed jumping off the counter with a big thud. “He’s her dad.” I gupled staring at the neon green numbers.
“Aria–please not tonight.” I whispered shutting my eyes. I heard him sigh before he wrapped his arms around me.
“Will I ever be able to fight the mate bond?” I mumbled into his chest. “Ill help you.” He assured me hugging me tighter.
“Mommy! Jake! Come on!” Joey yelled from the livingroom. We laughed and pulled away.
“You go start the movie. Ilk fix the popcorn.” I smiled as the microwave beeped. He nodded and softly pressed his lips to my forehead and ran to start the movie.
I shook my head and pulled out a bowl for the popcorn. After I fixed the popcorn I sat next to Joey with Jacob by my side. “Thank you for coming.” I whispered as I laid my head against his chest.
“I missed you.” He mumbled laying his head on top of my head. I smiled in content and glanced at a knocked out Joey before falling asleep myself. ’10:00pm‘ was brightly lit as I stumbled over a sleeping Jake, to the door which had someone obnoxiously knocking on it. I rubbed mt eyes as I flipped the light on for the front porch and glanced through the peephole to see Caleb holding a sleeping Zoey.
“Hey.” I smiled opening the door. My heart thumping at the sight of him. He was practically oozing with happiness which made me feel… satisfied. “Hey, can I put her down?” He chuckled. I blushed realizing I had been staring at him like a stalker.
“Right. Yeah. Come in.” I blushed fixing my top which was awkwardly twisted. He nodded and walked in only to pause halfway to the hall. I frowned and looked around him. I froze as I saw him take in Joey cuddled up to Jake.
“He+he came for m–movie night.” I stuttered ushering him into Zoe”s room. He gently laid her down before roughly grabbing ahold of my wrist making me wince in pain.

“Which is your room.” He growled staring at the four other doors. I slowly pointed to the last door in the hall as he roughly yanked me to my room.
As soon as we walked inside he pushed me in and shut the door. My chin quivered as I rubbed my wrist. It was already turning a hideous purple, which I hope would be gone before the twins or Jake noticed. “Why–why the hell is that … that – why is he holding MY son like he’s his!” He shouted in a whisper.
