Francis bowed deeply as he said, “Mr. O’Connell, if I had known you were coming, I would have picked you up personally!“}
Mr. O’Connell barely acknowledged him. He simply sat down on the sofa, silent.”
Mr. Carney smiled desperately as he tried to butter Mr. O’Connell up by saying, “Mr. O’Connell, our family’s survival depends on you.“&
Andrew chimed in, bowing as he added, “Yes, Sir. If you stop protecting the new import–export company, the Carney Family will have a chance to recover. You’ll benefit as well.”
Mrs. Carney suddenly pulled Marianne forward and shamelessly said, “Mr. O’Connell, this is my youngest daughter. If you need her, she’s available.“N
Marianne looked like she wanted to disappear.”
Mr. O’Connell smirked but said nothing.”
Mrs. Carney, thinking he was dissatisfied, grabbed Eleanor next and said, “Or perhaps my eldest daughter? She’s married, but you know… she’s very experienced.“N
Mr. O’Connell’s face instantly paled. He didn’t even dare look at Eleanor. On the other hand, my wife remained composed. She simply turned to me as if waiting for me to step in.
Again, I couldn’t help but sigh. This family was indeed disgusting. They treated their daughters like bargaining chips.”
Francis took the opportunity to speak to Mr. O’Connell, saying, “Mr. O’Connell, I’ve had feelings for Eleanor, but if you want her, I’ll step aside.“N

Francis noticed and immediately waved me over, mockingly saying, “Matthew, come here! You’re still her husband, at least on paper. Ask Mr. O’Connell to accept Eleanor.“N
I laughed. A husband begging another man to take his wife? Francis really thought of everything.”
I stepped forward, but before I could speak, Francis suddenly kicked my knee. Caught off guard, I fell to the ground, landing on one knee in front of Mr. O’Connell. After that, Francis pressed my head down.
“Beg him! Bow and beg to Mr. O’Connell!”
Andrew grabbed my head too, forcing me down even further. My forehead nearly touched the floor.”
The moment I realized what was happening, I exploded.
I shot to my feet and slapped both of them across the face. They hit the ground instantly.”
