“You, weren’t you just about to shoot me? Why are you trembling?”
I walked towards Tiffany Vance. She flinched, looking to Julian Thorne for help, but he merely averted his gaze, as he was barely able to protect himself.
“I’m so sorry, Ms. Hayes. I know I was wrong. I apologize to you. I’ll kneel and apologize to you and Ms. Lily, alright?”
Tiffany Vance dropped to her knees before me with a thud, bowing her head over and over, just like Lily had to do to her
earlier.
I let out a cold laugh, hooking her chin up with my high heel.
“Weren’t you so arrogant and domineering, always loving to steal other people’s fiancés? And now you’re apologizing?”
“Since you love stealing men so much, I’ll send you to a place with the most men, where you can enjoy yourself to your
<
heart’s content.”
With that, the bodyguards lifted Tiffany Vance. Her exquisite makeup, ruined by her frantic bows, was smeared across her face. She struggled, tears streaming, but it was all futile.
Having dealt with Tiffany Vance, I turned my attention to Julian Thorne.
“So, you’re the one who drugged my sister? The culprit behind her humiliation last night?”
Recalling Lily’s ordeal last night, a flicker of hatred crossed my eyes.
Julian Thorne frantically begged for mercy.
“I loved Lily! It was Tiffany! That bitch seduced me! Ms. Hayes, I’m your sister’s fiancé!”
“Fiancé?”
I chuckled, but my laugh sent shivers down one’s spine.
“You pathetic excuse for a man who crushes hearts, you think you’re worthy of being my sister’s fiancé?!”
Then, I looked at the bodyguards waiting nearby.
“Take him down. Torture him however you like, just keep him barely alive!”
Julian Thorne was dragged away, wailing. Victor Sterling’s face instantly turned ashen.
He knew he was next.
“Victor Sterling, Victor Sterling, how should I deal with you?”
My fingers lightly tapped on the sofa, feigning a troubled expression.
“Not only did you try to usurp the Hayes family, but you also allowed my sister to be bullied. For those two things alone, dying a thousand times wouldn’t be enough.”
Victor Sterling forced a smile, but it looked worse than a cry.
“Ms. Hayes, I..”
I raised my leg and directly kicked Victor Sterling in the chest, my high heel grinding into his sternum.
“You’re not worthy of calling me ‘Ms. Hayes‘!”
“The moment you even thought about betraying the Hayes family, you became Seraphina Hayes‘ enemy”
“While I was gone, you and your ‘sister‘ didn’t exactly go easy on my sister, did you?”
My gaze suddenly sharpened, making it impossible to meet directly.
<
Victor Sterling mumbled, but nothing came out.
I stood up, looking down at him.
“Since you’re so heartless, I’ll send you to a remote penal colony. I’d like to see if a man like you truly has a heart of
stone.”
Victor Sterling didn’t struggle. He was lifted by the bodyguards and dragged out, his eyes filled with regret. But in this world, there is no medicine for regret.
Now, only one was left.
I looked at Jessica, who was cowering in the corner, afraid to meet my gaze.
“As for you… you claimed the card I personally gave my sister was fake?”
Jessica crawled to me, grabbing my skirt.
“Ms. Hayes, I was just following Mr. Sterling’s orders! I have no grievance with you or your family…”
I let out a cold laugh.
Although Jessica was just Victor Sterling’s assistant, they were birds of a feather, and their hands were stained with the blood of countless others.
“Throw her out. Issue a nationwide order forbidding anyone from hiring her. Let her fend for herself.”
The bodyguards, receiving their orders, swiftly dragged Jessica out.
With the four dealt with, the club suddenly fell silent.
“Tired? Shall I take you to dinner?”
Damon Blackwood walked out from behind me, looking at me expectantly, like a puppy waiting for its master’s praise.
“No,” I refused without hesitation.
“I’m going to be with my sister.”
Seeing Damon Blackwood’s crestfallen expression, I suddenly felt like teasing him.
“But… tomorrow, perhaps.”
