My brother walked over.

Mrs. Lewis explained what happened.
My brother narrowed his eyes, looked at
Bethany, and said, “Apologize.”
Everyone knew that she needed my brother’s help.
She couldn’t care about her reputation.
She gritted her teeth and yelled “Sorry.”
She was probably upset.
She knew my brother had rejected her deal.
She said, “Mr. Su, the girl beside you is a second–hand. Does Mrs. Su know that you’re playing around?”

My brother laughed. “Tell my wife and see
what happens.”
Everyone scoffed and dispersed.
I sat beside my brother and ate and drank.
So that no one could get close to me.
Bethany tried to talk to other business partners, but they didn’t give her the chance.
They threw her business cards on the ground.
This was probably the worst moment of
Bethany’s career…
Then, Liam came over.
She complained to him.
He comforted her.
Then, he walked over to me.
My brother asked if I wanted him to get rid of Liam.
I shook my head. “I want to see what he has
to say. Get busy.”
My brother left.
Liam sat across from me.
He looked as handsome as ever.
But also tired.
His company was probably in trouble.
“Scarlett, long time no see.”
“Yeah.” He didn’t know that I saw him last
week.
“Is this your choice?”
I was shocked. “What choice?”
“To be someone’s mistress.”
He misunderstood my relationship with my
brother.
I raised my eyebrows. “Yeah.”
He scoffed. “You gave up being Mrs. Foster
to be a mistress? Is it fun?”
I said, “Not too bad.”
He said, “Stop it. I’ll pretend that divorce agreement never happened. Come back to me. Be my wife.”
I laughed.
“What are you talking about?”
He sighed. “I know you’re mad. But don’t be immature. Don’t waste your youth on a man. You won’t get anything. Guy doesn’t love you. Don’t waste your time.”
Guy was my brother’s name.
I waited for him to continue.

“I didn’t contact you because I wanted you to suffer. But you’re taking it too far.”
“It’s my fault. But Bethany has been working
hard for the company and facing a lot of stress. She signed 90% of the deals. I need her, you have to understand.”
“Don’t hurt me like this by being with Guy. It’s petty.”
Liam apologized.
But he wanted to have two women.
I smiled and said, “There’s a few things you
have wrong.”
“What?”
I started messing with the fruits.
“Bethany’s deals were from the Guy
Corporation, whose CEO is my brother.”
He frowned. “How’s that possible? You have
different last names.”
“My family is fair. I have my mom’s last name.
If you don’t believe me, I can have my brother
and sister–in–law vouch for me.”
He paused. “So all the projects Bethany
signed… were you?”
I laughed. “Yeah, my brother was helping his
brother–in–law. Now that we’re divorced,
that’s not happening. You’ve made a lot of
money, but you’ve given my brother a lot of
trouble.”
He frowned.
I continued, “You expanded blindly and
ignored the product quality. You took
discounts from Guy Corporation and
demanded more profit. I didn’t know that my
brother’s employees were suffering until
now!”
He pursed his lips. “I gave all that to Bethany.
I didn’t know.”
I didn’t want to hear his explanation.
I showed him a video of Bethany walking into
a hotel with a fifty–year–old man.
They were laughing, and he was touching her.
Liam went pale.
I said, “You know the man. He’s from the
Nantong Corporation… Bethany loves you.
You should treasure her. I wish you
happiness.”
