As the party ended, Bethany took Liam home.
I watched them embrace and kiss.
I took a video of everything.
Then, I called my brother.
“What’s up, little sis? Why are you calling so late?”
My brother’s voice made me want to cry.
I started sobbing.
“Sis, what’s wrong? Are you crying?”
I couldn’t speak.

My brother asked where I was.
I told him an address.
He was there in thirty minutes.
I was huddled on the sidewalk, shaking.
My brother took off his jacket and put it on
- me.
“Where’s Liam?”
“He’s cheating on me.”
My brother gritted his teeth.
“Where is he? I’m going to kill him.”

I shook my head. “Don’t. It’ll dirty your hands.”
My brother stomped the ground.
“Are you getting a divorce?”
I nodded.
“Are you sure it’s not a misunderstanding?”
I showed him the videos and photos.
He made his decision.
He took out his phone and made a few calls.
One was to his lawyer friend to write a
divorce agreement.
The other was to Liam’s suppliers. so they

The other was to Liam’s suppliers, so they

contracts.
After his calls, he grabbed my hand and said, “Let’s go home.”
I shook my head, tears in my eyes. “Before
we go home, I want to move out.”
My brother drove to our house.
Liam bought it.
I didn’t care about it.
I’d lived there for three years, and didn’t think
I’d leave like this.
“If you want it

“If you want it, I’ll hire the best lawyer to get
it for you.”
“No thanks. I don’t want anything that belongs
to Liam.”
