Sam frowned. Was she buying him a gift?
It was his birthday, and Sunnie would get him
something.
This was a great chance for them to make up.
Sunnie must have gotten him a big surprise.
Time passed, but Sunnie didn’t show up.
Her phone was off.
Sam lost patience. Frustrated, he glared at
Mitch. “Where is she? You said she was here.”
Mitch looked confused. “I saw her. I saw her,
and then I called you. But when I turned around,
she was gone.”

Sam was fuming, and since he couldn’t reach
Sunnie, he sent a text: “I know you’re here. Stop
hiding and come out.”
But it went unanswered. Then he heard a
tearful voice from behind: “Sam! I saw Sunnie!”

Sam turned around and saw Max with five red
finger marks on her face and bloody scratches
on her hands.
He didn’t care about Max. “You saw Sunnie?
Where is she?”
“She’s over there. She’s still mad at us. When I
went up to talk to her, she slapped me and
called you trash.”
Max played the recording on her phone.
Sunnie’s voice: “Don’t talk to me about trash.
Garbage should be recycled. You two pieces of

trash should lock it down and stop bothering
people.”
Hearing Sunnie’s words, Sam gritted his teeth.
“Where is she?”
“I don’t know. She slapped me, scratched me,
and ran off. I don’t know where she went.”
Max’s phone kept playing Sunnie’s voice: “I’m a
germaphobe. I hate dirty things. Since Sam
slept with you, get married and stay away from
me!”
Sam threw the roses on the ground, stomping
on them, and stormed out of the airport.
I didn’t expect to see Max.
She stopped me and taunted: “Sunnie, you’re
so shameless. You and Sam broke up, but
you’re still trying to get back together.”

“Where do you get that idea?”
“If you’re not trying to get back together, then
why are you at the airport? Everyone’s betting
on how low you’ll sink. Sam posted that they
broke up, you liked it, but you’re still chasing
him. You’re the most shameless person I’ve
ever met.”
“Me and Sam have been spending every day
together, eating together, sleeping together.
Sam said he never had feelings for you and that
he only acted like he did because he was
forced to…”
Max’s words made me mad, and I snapped
back.
