The next morning.just as the sky started to brighten,Charles pulled up outside to pick me up. He wore a pale blue shirt with the sleeves. casually rolled up and in one hand he held my favorite indie coffee. The cup sleeve had a cartoon bear on it.I totally was not his usual style.
“Thanks for the trouble,” I said as I got into the passenger seat I smiled as I took the coffee.“How did you even know I liked this brand?” While starting the engine, he replied with a slight smile, “Last time you had it, you said, This is way better than the chain stores. remembered. ”

Charles didn’t talk much on the drive. He focused on the road and his hands were steady on the wheel However,every time we stopped at a red light,he’d glance at me to make sure I wasn’t sleepy or feeling unwell. That quiet attentiveness warmed something in me.
By the time we arrived at Disneyland the sky had cleared up and the crowd was slowly building up.8

He led me in with a relaxed pace. He always kept just half a step behind me so I didn’t feel awkward.
“Have you been here before?” asked.
“Once, when I was a kid together with my cousin, he replied softly. However have not come here since I grew up.”
“Then today, let’s make up for it,” said as I smiled at him. When he returned my smile,the corner of his eyes wrinkled.
We played on the merry–go–round, the roller coaster, Flying Over the Horizon and even took pictures with the dolls and he never rushed me or complained about the crowds and the heat of the sun and even when I suddenly stopped to buy some trinkets, he just silently held the bag for me and smoothed the crumbs out of my hair.
At lunch he ordered all my favorite dishes. The level of the food’s spiciness was perfect
I looked at him over the menu and teased, “Did you memorize my taste preferences or something?“}
“I did some research first he said,but the tips of his ears turned red. This made my heart skip a beat.”
I thought it wouldn’t be so bad if I could live with Charles like this.As for the future, refused to think about it because people always change.
After dinner, we watched the float parade. The crowd was thick and at one point, got separated because of the crowd. He quickly reached out and grabbed my hand,his palm pressed firmly against mine.!!

Just then, we heard crying nearby A little girl stood alone in the crowd. She looked so panicked and her face was streaked with tears.She wore a red dress and had two uneven braids Obviously, she lost.!!
I immediately went to her and knelt beside her, then gently asked, “What’s your name?Where are your mom and dad?“!!
The girl sobbed so hard that she could not speak. She kept using the brim of her Mickey’s hat to wipe her tears.!!
“Let’s go to the service desk first,okay? They can help you find your Mommy and Daddy “Charles’voice was soft and he pulled a candy to coax her Just be brave,they’ll find you in a little while.”
He held her tiny hand without hesitation. He never once thought I was being nosy Together, we slowly made our way to the service center People came and went,the little girl pressed close to Charles and whispered “Uncle,are you the princess’s prince??
Charles paused, looked over his shoulder at me,then chuckled.“No, I’m the auntie’s prince.”
I couldn’t hold back from laughing out loud,but my heart swelled with warmth.
When we managed to help the little girl reunite with her parents her young mother kept thanking us. She was so grateful that she almost cried 8
