Summer.
Mom got pregnant.
On the first Sunday in July, Lily tried to push me down the stairs.
This was so dumb. It didn’t hurt me. Instead,
she fell and got a concussion.
But when Lily woke up, she was different. She saw me and acted like she’d seen a ghost. Then she saw Chase and screamed “It can’t be. Why

She looked at me like I was evil.
Chase looked like a snake, watching me.
Had Lily been reborn too?
Then she’d probably start a fire early.
I went home and, with all the cameras in the house, I added dozens more. They were on a
separate power supply, so they’d work even if
the power went out.
The videos would upload to the cloud.
I had to keep her from trapping me, so I made a secret door on the second floor with a rope.
