Lily’s life was a living hell.
She’d walked into my house thinking she could
be the damsel in distress and get everyone’s
attention.
But only Chase paid her any mind. Even the maids and groundskeepers thought she was fake.
I turned on a talk show with actress Pam, who talked about her skincare routine which
included taking cold showers 365 days a year.
Mom got a thoughtful look on her face.
That night, she filled the bathtub with cold
water and ice, and made Lily take a bath.
She figured it was better than a shower.

One myured it was wollen Wer.
And she’d make her do it every day.
As for her period?
Who cared. That was Lily’s problem. Mom only cared about making her a superstar.
I heard Lily screaming, but Mom told them to stuff a towel in her mouth. “Stop being so dramatic! Scarlett never got this kind of treatment.”
Chase tried to step in, but I said, “Bro, they’re taking a bath. You trying to pull a Jamie Lynn Spears on me?”
The staff looked at him. He balled his fists.
I snickered. This was just the beginning.

I knew that Mom had gone crazy after I quit
dancing. She’d do anything to make Lily better
than me.
