Brandi and Chelsea smiled happily and
snuggled up to my dad.
<
My mom stared in disbelief, shaking all over,
and fainted from the shock.
My dad sneered and said to me, “Willow
Lewis, no, Willow Sterling. From today on,
you’ll take the Sterling name. Pack up your things and move into the guest house with
your mom. I’m redecorating your room for
Chelsea.”
Brandi and Chelsea looked pleased.
When my dad was young, he was poor. He only married into the Lewis family for the
money, and my name took on the Lewis family name.
く
Before my grandpa went bankrupt, he never
said a word and always seemed to love my
mom.
So my mom and grandpa never suspected
him and gave him everything without holding
back.
んんん
I later found out that my dad never
appreciated it. He saw it as a humiliation.
As soon as my grandpa died, he couldn’t wait
to change my name and erase everything
about the Lewis family.
My mom and grandpa brought a wolf into
their house and spent fifteen years raising it.
<
I argued with him, fought for my mom, and
refused to let Brandi and Chelsea move in.
But that only made my dad angry. From then on, he not only mistreated my mom but also treated me badly.
I suffered for four years.
But this time, I didn’t argue.
Because I was obedient, my dad still kicked
my mom and me into the guest house, but at least he didn’t cut off our allowance.
My mom was devastated. She woke up crying and sighing.
<
Brandi would come to the guest house to be
passive–aggressive and bossy, so my mom
didn’t get back on her feet for a long time.
She had been babied by my grandpa since
she was a child, and she was kind and weak.
She only knew how to complain and didn’t
think about revenge.
But I’m not like that.
I’ll always remember my grandpa, who doted
on me, and Brandi and Chelsea’s
provocations, and my dad’s bias.
I wanted to get ahead by studying, so from that summer when I turned fifteen, my grades
<
never dropped out of the top three in the
class.
But in the end, I was just a stepping stone for
others, and it got me killed.
Like before, my dad told everyone that Chelsea was my long–lost twin sister, and he transferred her to my school the next day.
This time, I didn’t study like crazy. I started sleeping in class.
My grades dropped every month, and by the end of the semester, I was in the bottom half of the class.
く
My grades dropped every month, and by the
end of the semester, I was in the bottom half
of the class.
My homeroom teacher was heartbroken and tried to talk to me. “Willow, you used to have great grades. Why have they dropped so much?”
I looked at her gratefully and thought, I just want to live.
Chelsea held up her report card and looked down at me. “Willow, your mom can’t beat my mom, and you’re too stupid to beat me
either!”
<
I ignored her and turned to leave.
Chelsea wasn’t happy. She grabbed my arm. “Willow! I’m talking to you! Do you hear me?”
She glanced behind me and then sounded all
pitiful.
“Willow, I’m your sister. How can you not even say hello when you see me? Do you think I’m not good enough to be your sister because I’ve been homeless for so long?”
I turned around and saw Chad Bennet, my childhood sweetheart.
He was still 6’0” at a young age, with a gentle
く
appearance that could make Chelsea fall in
love with him.
To please Chad, I humbly made him a cake
for his birthday and waited in the rain all night to give him a present.
But then I saw him carrying Chelsea out of his
car, and he grew further and further away from me.
After I died, Chelsea became the only daughter of the Sterling family and inherited all of my grandpa’s wealth, as well as my fiancé.
Chelsea probably had her eye on Chad as
<
soon as she came back to the Sterling family.
She wanted the man who was supposed to
marry me.
Chad frowned and walked towards me, looking disapproving. “Willow, Chelsea’s right. She’s your sister. How can you be so rude?”
Chelsea wiped away fake tears.
