Chapter 80
An hour later, Richard received the test results. When he saw ‘not the biological father‘ being mentioned on the report, he went wild.
“Bitch!” he yelled.
Immediately, he kicked Agatha in the stomach.}
“You cheated on me and got pregnant with someone else’s child!”
“I thought it was hard for you to have a child at your age, so I ignored your mistakes. But now you’re pregnant with a bastard and you dared to abuse my son!“}
“You’re disgusting! I’ll kill you!“}}
Richard kicked her again and again until she started bleeding.
Agatha screamed in pain, clutching her stomach and shouting, “Please, take me to the hospital! I’m dying!“}
In response, Richard just sneered as he said, “I wish you were dead!“}
Agatha fainted and I signaled for someone to take her to the hospital. It would be troublesome if she died here. I looked at her condition. The child was probably lost, but she might survive.}
I turned to the rest of the family, Agatha’s relatives, who had been watching quietly, too scared to intervene. Her parents cowered in the corner, not daring to do anything, even as Agatha was beaten. Since they had never cared for their younger brother, I told someone to send them back to the countryside and make sure they were “taken care of.“}
One man in the room seemed upset by Agatha’s beating and even tried to stop it.}
I asked, “Who are you to Agatha?“}
Before he could answer, Richard said, “He’s Agatha’s cousin.“}
“Cousin? I think he’s the lover. The child Agatha’s carrying is his!“}
The man panicked, shouting to defend himself, “No, I’m just her cousin!“}
Richard grabbed him by the collar.
“So, Benjamin, you’re stealing a man right under my nose, huh?“}
“No, I didn’t!”
Richard punched him, knocking him to the ground, then climbed on top and continued beating him. I leaned over.}
“You deserve this. You and Agatha’s child thought you’d inherit the Woodward Family? Dream on!“}
Richard had enough of venting, so I had someone take Benjamin back to his estatege. From now on, their whole family would receive “special care.”
Meanwhile, Andrew had finished crawling the ten laps. He was exhausted, lying on the ground unable to move. His backside was bloodied from the beating. I told someone to send him to the hospital. I also ordered Agatha and her relatives‘ things to be packed up and thrown out.”
Richard started crying in front of me, telling me, “Elizabeth, I’m not a good father. I didn’t protect Thomas and I let him suffer. I’ll make it up to him. I’ll be a better father!“}
I shook my head as I responded, “No, you won’t.”
Richard looked confused and asked, “What do you mean?“”
*Don’t you know how Agatha treats Thomas?”
“I didn’t know! If I had known, I would’ve stopped her!”
“Then why did you let Thomas sleep in a dog cage? Even if he was disobedient, he didn’t deserve that. Do you really think he’s a dog?” Richard was silent.
“You ignored everything. You let Agatha abuse and humiliate Thomas. Even her nephew bullied him. Do you really see him as your son?”
