Chapter 78
When we arrived at the hospital and my treatment was complete, I slowly opened my eyes.
Jalen was still tightly holding my hand, unwilling to let go.
The doctor walked in, checked my injuries, and finally breathed a sigh of relief.}
“Miss Webber, I’m truly sorry for what happened last time. Mr. Campbell wouldn’t allow us to treat you–I’ve felt guilty about it ever since,” he said.
“Fortunately, your injuries aren’t serious this time. The cerebral congestion from before is also gradually dissipating. Your memory should fully return soon.“>
I looked at the familiar doctor and thanked him.
At that time, I had just lost my memories of Rowen. I didn’t understand a lot of things, which was why he was able to take advantage of me.”
“What?!”
Jalen’s grip on my hand tightened. He stared at the doctor in disbelief.
He anxiously asked what had happened that day.”
The doctor gave a brief explanation. After hearing it, Jalen was so furious his jaw clenched.
“How dare Rowen!”
I gently patted Jalen’s hand to calm him. “Jalen, I’ve remembered everything. Everything Rowen owes me–I’ll get it all back.”
Then I looked at him, my eyes welling up with tears. “But tell me… now that you’re back–will you leave again?“}
Tears streamed down my cheeks, blurring my vision.}
He shook his head and gently wiped my tears. “I won’t leave again. Even if you no longer want me by your side, I’ll stay.”
Jalen looked thinner than before, but there was a stronger resolve in his eyes.
I had asked Charmaine about it. She said Jalen had always known what happened to me at that banquet. He regretted not protecting me better, and on top of that, Rowen had told him something.
After that conversation, Jalen chose to leave.
I asked Jalen what exactly Rowen had said to him.
Jalen’s eyes dimmed. “He said you liked him. That I was just standing in the way of your happiness. He said you two belonged together, that you’d get married and have children.“>
“And… You two looked very happy together.”
As he spoke, he turned his head away, not wanting to continue.
My heart sank.}
I thought back to how Rosalie kept trying to push me and Rowen together during that time. And Jalen had been silently watching us from the shadows.
Watching Rowen treated me gently… remembering the words Rowen told him, and seeing, how cold I had been toward him during those days—it must have torn him apart.”
It made him doubt everything, made him believe I truly loved Rowen.}
It was all part of their scheme!!
Jalen and I had both been deceived!”
I clutched Jalen’s sleeve tightly and voiced my suspicions. He quickly caught on too. It all made sense–Rowen had deliberately manipulated us into misunderstanding each other.”
“I want to divorce Rowen,” I said firmly.”
“But I need your help.”
I met his gaze, full of resolve.
“Of course.” He agreed without hesitation.
Right now, Rowen and Rosalie had taken complete control over the new company, acting like they were the rightful owners, all with my father’s support.
I still didn’t understand why my father suddenly shifted his loyalty to them. But the first thing I needed to do was find a good lawyer and file for divorce
Rowen used my Webber family wealth to build his own company and now wanted to be with Rosalie?
But I had no power of my own anymore…
I glanced at Jalen, unsure how to ask.
But he understood immediately.K
“I’ll handle it.“%
He picked up his phone and made a call.
“Someone will take care of the paperwork. Everything that belongs to you–you’ll get it all back.“%

I finally felt a sense of relief.
No matter what, Jalen had always been the one who stayed true to me from beginning to end.”
I used to wonder why I couldn’t find the right person–turns out, I had already found the one.
Just then, the door to the hospital room was forcefully pushed open.
The doctor outside gave me an apologetic look, but I waved him off and signaled him to leave.
Hooked at Rosalie and squinted my eyes. “What are you doing here? Haven’t you already gotten what you wanted?“}
She leaned against the doorway, arms crossed.
Her gaze was full of scorn and mockery.
“I thought you were the type to sit quietly and not fight for anything. But it turns out you’re just good at scheming behind everyone’s back.” I let out a bitter laugh. Rosalie really knew how to play the victim.”
“Alicia! How many times are you going to hurt Rosalie?!”
Just as I was about to respond to Rosalie’s nonsense, Rowen burst in–furious and full of righteous indignation.
