Chapter 6 – Uninvited
I paced outside the emergency room, my hands shaking.
Grandfather had passed out right in front of me–after hearing what the sextuplets did to Jasmine.
1 clenched my jaw, rubbing my temples. “Damn it.”
I didn’t expect things would get so complicated like this.
I’ve always known Grandfather had a soft spot for Jasmine
Also now I wondered if Jasmine had survived the attack &
If she didn’t then that would mean my kids were murderers but worse still it would mean she was killed by her own children.
I had a severe migraine thinking about this that I didn’t even want to imagine.
A few minutes later, Blanca appeared.!!
She walked over slowly, sighed, and pulled me into a hug. “Oh, my love.”
I rested my face against her shoulder. I didn’t even realize I was this tense.
“He’ll be okay,” she said softly, brushing her hand through my hair. “The doctors are here. Just breathe”
I nodded. “I just… didn’t expect this. Not now.”
Just then, the doctor came out.!!
I pulled away from Blanca immediately. “Doctor? How is he?“%
“He’s stable,” the doctor said. “It was a mild heart attack. But he’s out of danger.“2
I let out a breath of relief.
“He needs rest, though, the doctor added. “No stress. Make sure he doesn’t overthink. Talk to him gently.” “Thank you, Doctor,” I said, shaking his hand
The doctor nodded and walked off
Bianca stepped closer again. “Can I come with you to see him?“2
I shook my head. “No. I need to talk to him alone.”
She folded her arms. “Henry, seriously?“!
“Bianca, I said no.”
She frowned. “When are you going to introduce me to him? We’ve been together for six months.” “Not now”
“Why not? Now that Jasmine’s out of the picture, maybe ”
“Don’t say her name!” I snapped
Bianca blinked in surprise.
I stared at her. “She disappeared. That’s what got him in this condition. This isn’t about us.”
She rolled her eyes. “I stopped by the house earlier. The sextuplets told me everything.”
I frowned. “You went by the house?
“I was worried. How else do you think I know about the hospital?”
“You shouldn’t have gone there,” I said coldly. “And you shouldn’t be here either.”
“I’m your girlfriend, Henry,” she said, offended. “I care.”
“Just wait out here, I muttered and walked past her toward Grandfather’s ward.X
I stepped into the VIP room. He was awake. Scowling X
His voice was raspy but sharp. “Have you found Jasmine?”
I walked to his bedside. “Grandfather, you need to rest“>
“I asked you a question, Henry.
“Tm doing everything I can. But she’s gone.“X
He exhaled heavily. “Find her. Bring her home “X
I nodded. “I will. I promise. Just focus on getting better.”
The door creaked open X
I turned. My chest lightened
Bianca walked in, smiling like she belonged there.X
She held a fruit basket wrapped in ribbons. “Good afternoon, sic,” she chirped. “I brought you something to help you recover.” Grandfather stared at her
I stepped forward quickly. “Bianca, I told you-“X
She ignored me and walked up to the bed. “I’m Bianca. Henry’s girlfriend.”
A few Amangerment
12:44 PM
My eyes widened, “Blanca”
But it was too late.
Grandfather’s glare shifted to me. “What did she say?“)
Bianca giggled. “Didn’t he tell you about me? We’ve been together for six months now.”
Silence.
Dead. Cold. Silence.
I could feel the rage bubbling in Grandfather’s chest. His eyes didn’t blink.
I turned to Blanca, my voice low and dangerous. “Get out. Now”
She looked confused. “Why are you acting like this?“!
“Leave!” I barked.
She scoffed. “Fine. I was just trying to help.” She dropped the basket on the table and stormed out
I tumed back to Grandfather.
He was sitting up now, breathing hard. His face was flushed with anger.”
“You’ve been with her?” he growled.
“Grandfather, I didn’t mean–*%
“Six months?” he hissed. “While married to Jasmine?
“1. It wasn’t like that-”
He slammed his hand on the table beside him. “You’re the reason she’s gone
I stepped back, shaken. “No. No, I didn’t-
“She trusted you, Henry!” he shouted. “And you betrayed her!“?
“I made a mistake,” I whispered. “But I’m trying to fix it.”
“She loved you,” he said through gritted teeth. “And you threw it away. For what?”
I didn’t answer
Grandfather leaned back slowly, gripping his chest again.
“Don’t stress yourself,” I said quickly. “Please, you just recovered-”
He waved me off.
“You find her,” he muttered. “You bring her back.”
“And when you do. His voice dropped to a dangerous calm. “Pray she still wants anything to do with you. Or else, Пl disown you!”
My mouth opened in shock as I stared at him, unable to speak.
