Dante raised an eyebrow, about to say something, but Vivienne cut him off. “Mr. Sinclair, you should head back first. I have something to discuss with Edmund alone.
Seeing this, Dante nodded slightly. “Alright. Call me if you need anything.”

“Whether it was intentional or not, you rushed out without slowing down. Based on eyewitness accounts, you are fully responsible for the accident.”

“The public opinion is growing. If you apologize to Lillian publicly, we can put this matter to rest.”
Vivienne’s eyes flickered with slight surprise..

Edmund’s expression remained composed. “Lillian’s condition isn’t serious. I’ll handle things on her end. Once you apologize, I’ll suppress the public backlash.”
Vivienne raised an eyebrow slightly. “So, Mr. Harrington, you’re saying that if I don’t apologize, you won’t
intervene in the public opinion?”
Edmund lowered his gaze, looking at her. “Vivienne, I have to give Lillian an explanation for this accident.”
An apology that could settle everything—such a punishment wasn’t even worth mentioning.
Vivienne felt nothing. Her heart remained calm, without the slightest ripple.
“I didn’t hit Lillian. Lillian hit me. If anyone should apologize, it should be her.”
Edmund hadn’t expected that, even now, Vivienne would still be so stubborn.
His brows furrowed. “You claim Lillian hit you first. I had people investigate. The evidence is clear. Why are you still trying to deny it?”
“Edmund, you’re basing my guilt on the words of a few bystanders. Don’t you think that’s a bit rash?”
At least this time, he hadn’t blindly believed Lillian as he had before. He had conducted an investigation.
But everything he found was exactly what Lillian wanted him to see.
“Vivienne, what are you trying to say?”
Vivienne stared at his handsome, aloof face and enunciated every word. “I’m saying that I didn’t hit her. I won’t apologize to Lillian. In fact, she should be the one apologizing to me.”
Edmund’s eyes grew colder. “Vivienne, it’s just an apology. Is it really that hard?”

To ensure credibility, it even included several photos.
The article accused Vivienne of being ruthless, willing to stage an accident just to kill Lillian.
With so–called “solid evidence,” the internet exploded with insults.
“This woman is pure evil! Breaking up a couple wasn’t enough. Now she wants to kill? Does she think Mr. Harrington will love her once Lillian is dead? Dream on! A venomous woman like her doesn’t deserve love!”
