Chapter 25 Just Go Ahead and Die
Lillian wiped the tears from the comers of her eyes. “M. Everest, I know you’ve always held a grudge because of my past with Eddy, but that’s all in the past. Everyone has a past. Is it really that impossible to forgive?”
She trembled slightly. “Do I have to die… for you to be tisfied?”
Vivienne lifted her head and smiled faintly. She exhaled softly and said, “Alright then, just go ahead and dic.”
Edmund’s face darkened. “Viviennel”
Vivienne sneered. “Edmund, is there really a need for that look on your face? Ms. Lillian was the one who said she wanted to die, not me. So if she seeks death, its someone else’s fault now?”
Lillian’s eyes widened abruptly, and tears streamed down her cheeks in large drops.
Suddenly, she stood up from her wheelchair and rushed toward the nearby window.
“Ms, Everest, since you told me to die, then I’ll die!”
“Lillian, don’t do anything foolish!” Victor panicked and hurried to stop her.
Edmund also stepped in with a cold expression, blocking Lillian’s way. His voice was sharp. “Lillian, what do you think you’re doing?”
Lillian looked deranged, screaming hysterically. “I know Ms. Everest hates me! Since she hates me so much, then just let me die! Let go! Let go of me! Let me die!”
Edmund pressed his lips into a thin line. “Calm down.”
But Lillian was sobbing uncontrollably, unable to hear anything. She wailed, “I shouldn’t have come back! I’ should never have appeared in front of you!”
As Lillian struggled and thrashed, the hospital room erupted into complete chaos.
Then, amidst the commotion, a crisp, icy laugh rang out, unusually clear.
“If Mr. Harrington and Mr. Victor won’t let you die, then fine, you can live. But go cat sh*t instead.”
Vivienne smiled sweetly at Lillian. “Ms. Lillian, aren’t you good at following my words? You wouldn’t refuse, would you?”
Victor was furious. His face turned red as he pointed angrily at Vivienne. “Vivienne, you’ve gone too far!” Vivienne feigned innocence. “When I asked her to die, she wanted to die. Now that I’m showing some kindness and telling her she doesn’t have to, you all still aren’t satisfied?”
She paused for a second, then suddenly seemed to realize something. “Oh, I see. So you–actually think it’s better if she just dies, is that it?”

Vivienne let out a cold laugh, and the expression on he face gradually changed. “The ones who need to

She gazed at Edmund, her eyes razor–sharp. “I haven’t even gone after you yet, but you all stormed into my hospital room, making a scene first! Edmund, have you ever heard the saying, “The one who starts trouble is the real disgrace‘? Forget whether I pushed Lilian or not; so what if I did? She had it coming!”
Edmund’s expression turned icy. Just as he was about to speak, the hospital room door was suddenly pushed open.
“What’s going on? Why is it so noisy here?” A deep, magnetic male voice came from the doorway.
Seeing the room crowded with people, Dante paused for a second.
When he noticed Lillian’s tear–streaked face, Victor’s furious expression, and Edmund’s cold demeanor, he quickly grasped the situation.
With a calm smile, he said, “Apologies, but the doctor said Vivi still needs rest. Whatever you all need to Talk about, save it for after she’s discharged.”
Then, ignoring the others, he placed the insulated food container he brought on the table.
“Vivi, you haven’t eaten yet, right? I brought you breakfast
Vivienne’s gaze softened slightly. “Thank you, Mr. Sinclair.”
Victor, noticing that a strange man had come to visit Vivienne, couldn’t help but sneer. “Wow, I see now. You’re not even divorced from Eddy yet, and you’ve already found someone new? This institution is a hospital. No matter how impatient you are, you should at least have some shame.”
He hesitated for a moment, glancing at Edmund, and restrained himself from saying anything too vulgar. Instead, he just scoffed. “Vivienne, do you have no self–respect at all?”
Dante ignored Victor and instead looked at Edmund with a half–smile, “Mr. Harrington, no matter how much you dislike Vivi, is it really necessary for you to team up with your beloved soulmate and her friend to bully your wife while she’s injured and hospitalized?
Edmund’s handsome face was as cold as frost. “Mr. Sinclair, since you know she’s my wife, what are you doing here so early in the morning, acting all attentive toward another man’s wife?”
Dante, the current heir of Sinclair Corporation, had been living in Lucanburg for years.
He had a five–year–old child, but the mother’s identity was unknown. Rumors suggested the child was illegitimate since there had never been any news of Dante getting married.
Sinclair Corporation held a position of strength comparable to that of Harrington Corporation. In recent years, it had been leaning toward collaborating with companies in Zurichale, seemingly intending to expand its influence there.
Dante smiled faintly and met Edmund’s gaze. “Mr. Harrington, you know you’re Vivi’s husband, yet

Victor couldn’t hold back his rage. “We came here to ask Vivienne why she deliberately hit Lillian and nearly killed her!”
Dante cast Victor an indifferent glance, his tone unhurried. “You’re not the police. You’re not qualified to question Vivi. If you have any concerns, let the police handle it. Right now, Vivi needs rest, so I’ll have to ask you all to leave.”
Victor was indignant. “Hey, who do you think you are? What gives you the right to kick us our? She just knocked me and Lillian to the ground, and I haven’t even settled the score with her yet!”
“Vivi knocked you both to the ground?” Dante chuckled like he had just heard a ridiculous joke. “Maybe you should ask a doctor whether Vivi, in her current condition, could even get out of bed, let alone kick
anyone.”
Although he was speaking to Victor, his gaze remained fixed on Edmund. “Vivi’s foot isn’t broken, but she has a minor sprain. She’s not allowed to put any weight on it for three days.”
The corner of Dante’s lips curled into a subtle smirk. “Mr. Harrington, do you really think a woman confined to bed, unable to even stand, could knock down this gentleman and Ms. Lillian? And if she really did, couldn’t they have just dodged? After all, Ms. Lillian’s injury is on her hand, not her foot.”
“Oh, right.” As if suddenly recalling something, he added, “If you don’t believe me, Mr. Harrington, you can ask a doctor to check Vivi’s foot injury. Then you’ll know whether I’m lying
Edmund’s eyes darkened, and his sharp, deep gaze suddenly turned to Victor.
