Vivienne tilted her head up, looking at the man’s cold and indifferent expression. “So, you believe Ms. Lillian?”
Edmund was silent for a few seconds. “Lillian had no reason to hit you.”
“And I had a reason to hit her?”
Edmund stared at her without blinking, his dark pupils leep and unreadable, like an abyss.
“So, did you hit Lillian on purpose?”
“No.”
The hospital room fell into a deathly silence once more
No one knew how much time passed before the man’s cool, liquor–smooth voice broke the stillness.
“Get some rest. I’ll look into this.”
Vivienne watched his retreating figure without saying a word.
Edmund hadn’t stopped asking questions because he believed her. He was just planning to gather evidence
first.
If he truly believed her, he wouldn’t have asked those questions at all,
Not long after Edmund left, Vivienne received a call from Adrian.
“Vivi, you were in a car accident? How are you? Is it serious?”
Vivienne’s brows moved slightly. “Adrian, how did you find out?”
Adrian’s voice was low. “It’s already trending online this morning. Vivi, are you okay?”
“I’m fine, just some minor injuries. Nothing serious. I’ll probably be discharged in a day or two. Don’t worry about me.”
“Alright. If you need anything, call me.”
Adrian–wanted to help take the trending post down, bu even though he was famous, he was too reclusive and focused only on music, never bothering to build connections.
So now that Vivienne’s accident was all over the interne, he had no way to make it disappear.
After hanging up the phone, Vivienne lay on the bed with her eyes closed, resting while contemplating her
next move.

Lillian wouldn’t have the audacity to act so recklessly, which meant she had prepared everything thoroughly.
Even the so–called eyewitness was likely arranged in advance.
Now that public opinion was starting to spread, Lillian had made all the necessary preparations, even taking the risk to appear in person.
The matter wouldn’t be easy to resolve.
A dull ache throbbed in Vivienne’s temples..
With Lillian constantly stirring up trouble, it was nearly impossible for her and Edmund to part ways peacefully.
At that moment, a loud knock echoed through the hospital room, sharp and jarring.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Before Vivienne could say a word, the door was pushed open rudely.
Victor stormed in, his face full of rage, dragging Lillian, whose arm was still wrapped in a bandage, behind -him.
Vivienne, you murderer!” Victor barged in without restraint, pointing at Vivienne and cursing. “Last time, Lillian fell into the water, and you used all kinds of excuses to escape responsibility. Let’s see how you try to talk your way out of this one!”
Vivienne’s expression turned cold, and her tone became just as sharp.
“Get out of my room.”
“You’re the one who should get out!” Victor grabbed a cup of water from the table and flung it at her. “Vivienne, listen up. Eddy won’t let you off so easily this time! You murderer, just wait for prison!”
Vivienne was still recovering from her injuries and couldn’t dodge in time. The water splashed across her face.
“How dare you hurt Lillian! Even if I beat you to death right here, Eddy wouldn’t say a word. He’d probably applaud me for it! Today, I’ll teach you a lesson on his behalf!”
With that, he charged toward Vivienne.
But just as he got close to the bed, Vivienne suddenly lashed out with her foot, kicking him hard in the stomach.
Victor staggered backward and crashed into the table.
The cups on the table tumbled to the floor, shattering into countless pieces.
Lillian instinctively tried to help Victor up, but her injured arm couldn’t exert any force. Instead, she lost her balance and fell to the ground with him.
She landed right in the middle of the shattered glass.

Just then, the door to the hospital room was pushed open again,
A tall, imposing man stepped inside.
His footsteps halted as he took in the chaotic scene before him.
“What’s going on here?”
Victor was also on the floor, grimacing in pain.
When he saw Edmund, his anger exploded completely

He jumped up and pointed at Vivienne. “Eddy! This so–called weak, injured woman somehow managed to knock both me and Lillian to the ground! If she’s not liking, then what is she doing? Fine, she kicked me, but Lillian is still injured! And this vicious woman deliberately pushed her down! She’s absolutely heartless!”
Edmund glanced at Vivienne, who remained completely unscathed, then at Lillian, who was still on the floor. His brows furrowed slightly.
Lillian’s hands and legs had been cut by the broken glass, leaving long, bloody gashes.
Blood trickled down her wounds, making for a startling sight.
She didn’t cry out in pain but instead bit her lip, tears welling in her eyes as she struggled to get up..
With her injured arm, she couldn’t push herself off the loor. The more she tried, the more the glass dug into her skin, opening new wounds.
Edmund’s gaze darkened. He stepped forward and lifted Lillian from the ground.
He looked at Victor and spoke in an indifferent tone. “Get someone to clean up the glass. I’ll take Lillian for
treatment.”
Victor still wanted to hurl a few more insults at Vivienne, but she had already closed her eyes, her expression distant, as if all of this had nothing to do with her.
Scoffing coldly, Victor called for someone to clear the broken glass.
He wasn’t concerned that Vivienne might step on it. He wasn’t that kind.
He was certain that once Edmund finished tending to lian’s wounds, he would return to deal with Vivienne.
An hour later, Edmund and Lillian indeed returned.
Lillian had been able to walk earlier, but after what had just happened, she was now in a wheelchair. Vivienne glanced up once, then lowered her head indifferently and went back to looking at her phone. Seeing Vivienne’s cold expression, Edmund frowned slightly. “Vivienne, don’t you have anything to explain?”

Victor, who was pushing the wheelchair, snapped angrily, “She did all of this. Of course she has nothing to explain! From deliberately crashing into Lillian’s car to purposely pushing her down… It’s clear just how vicious this woman is!”
Edmund looked at her. “Vivienne, is that true?”
Vivienne didn’t even lift her head. “Whatever you say.”
Anyone could see how dismissive she was.
Tears welled up in Lillian’s eyes.
“Ms. Everest, I know you have always misunderstood my relationship with Eddy, I can explain everything… Eddy and I really aren’t what you think we are.”
Vivienne’s brows moved slightly. She looked at Lillian with a half–smile.
“Ms. Lillian, are you sure?”
