Ashley stopped, realizing that Ben’s face was
terrifying.
She didn’t know why she felt uneasy.

Ben grabbed Ashley’s neck.
“Ashley, did you work with Al and Two–Bit to
drive Sarah away?”
“I messed up. You forgot who you are. You
designed me.”
He didn’t want her to work at first because he
said that she was trouble.
Ben said that she was an orphan, so she
could work harder.
Ben gave her a high salary.
He realized that the goal was to get with him.
Ashley’s face turned red.
“It’s Sarah…It’s all her fault.”
Ashley’s face turned purple.
She was dying, so Ben let her go.
Ashley gasped.
She didn’t know how much Ben remembered.
She knew she shouldn’t be a mistress, and
Sarah cursed and insulted her.

Ben looked at her stomach.
This child was a mistake and the Carter
family should be ashamed.
