“Bennett, Frances is my flesh and blood. If anyone harms her, I won’t let them get away with it–this includes you.”
Seeing my anger, Bennett clenched his teeth, but the moment he remembered the drastic reforms I’d recently implemented at the company, he quickly masked his frustration with a forced smile.
“Darling, how could I not care about Frances? She’s our daughter-“}
But the moment the police escorted Demi’s family in, Bennett could no longer keep his calm.}
