Chapter 16
Amanda smiled as she gently ruffled her son’s hair.
Then her gaze drifted to Benjamin’s strikingly handsome face–this man was so good–looking it could make anyone’s heart race just by glancing at him
When she looked back at her son, he was sitting quietly, staring blankly out the window. The spring breeze brushed across his face, and his eyes narrowed slightly, an indifferent expression resting on his little face.
That small figure looked so lonely and helpless–it tugged painfully at Amanda’s heart.
She didn’t disturb her son. Instead, she carefully administered medicine to Benjamin, followed by a round of acupuncture.
Mark heard the faint movements behind him and knew she was giving his dad acupuncture.
Amanda stared at Benjamin’s chiseled, noble features. For the first time, she felt genuine gratitude toward this man–for saving her child.
What she didn’t notice was the slight flutter of Benjamin’s eyelids.
After removing the needles, she noticed a faint blue glow still lingering at the tips. Her brows drew together he was still being poisoned, day after day.
She gave him another dose of medicine.
Who had poisoned Benjamin?
And who had poisoned Mark?
Whoever dared hurt her son–Amanda would make them pay, tenfold!
Just then
Knock, knock…
Amanda rose slowly. “Come in.”
The butler entered, followed by a stunningly beautiful woman in a white dress. Her features were delicate large expressive eyes, a small refined nose, and soft cherry lips. She looked like the picture–perfect virtuous wife every man dreamed of
In stark contrast to Amanda’s dazzling and bold beauty
The moment Miranda laid eyes on Amanda, jealousy flared violently in her chest. She’s actually this pretty?!
Old Mr. Schmidt was truly ridiculous–desperate enough to throw just anyone at a dying man, and it ended up benefiting this little

Sure, the old man disapproved of her birth chart. But so what? Her family background was the perfect match for Benjamin.
The butler introduced them, “Madam, this is Miss Lowe. She’s been sending doctors here every day to treat the young master. Today,
she’s come in person.”
So this was the infamous Miss Lowe?
Amanda’s gaze shot toward her son by the window. She saw it clearly–his small body trembled slightly.
Her heart ached She rushed over and pulled him tightly into her arms.
Miranda’s eyes widened. That little bastard actually let Amanda hug him?! She herself couldn’t even get a single word from him.
Amanda didn’t miss the shock in Miranda’s eyes. She looked to the butler and asked coldly. “Butler, what’s the relationship between Miss Lowe and my husband?” She emphasized the word husband deliberately.
Miranda’s brows twitched–she was about to explode with jealousy.
The butler smiled, “Madam, the Lowe and Schmidt families have been family friends for generations.”

Chapter 16
Everyone could see Miranda had feelings for the young master. Even now that he was married, she still visited every day. Her intentions couldn’t be more obvious.
Amanda turned to Miranda, her smile radiant and sharp. “Thank you, Miss Lowe, for caring so much about my husband.”
Miranda’s fists clenched. Didn’t this woman have any self–a

Miranda refused to stoop to Amanda’s level. She turned away, speaking to the doctors she’d and instructed them to examine Benjamin.
The two doctors worked for quite some time before one of them turned to Miranda

Suddenly, a voice rang out from behind them–it was Mark, who had remained silent all this time.
“Grandpa Butler,” he said coldly, “starting tomorrow, don’t let these cats and dogs in here again.”
