After searching for a while, Stella finally spotted something red near Tina’s feet. She bent down and picked it up. “Tina, you dropped your money!”
Tina gave a light laugh. “If you found it, it’s yours.”
Stella rarely got the chance to pick up money. Grinning from ear to ear, she turned to Nancy and Jimmy. “Let’s split it three ways! We’re rich!”
Just then, Ethan walked back in.
Tina glanced up at him.
Their eyes met — and in that brief moment, a flicker of amusement passed between them.
Fuming, Lucas led Hannah away.
Now Ethan was here too. He was the one most against him getting anywhere near Stella. So annoying.
Stella hadn’t noticed anything this time, but Lucas wasn’t giving up. Sooner or later, she’d see it.
Hannah, on the other hand, was a little pleased.
That look in Ethan’s eyes just now – he was definitely jealous.
Sure, he might act like he was doing what Stella wanted, but his body was saying something else entirely!
That afternoon, Ethan and Tina had to return to the company.
After dropping Jimmy off at school, Nancy was heading to the office too.
Ethan had planned to take Stella with him, but she wanted to stay in the hospital.
She didn’t really know how to take care of people, but she still wanted to be there for Jenn.
Tina had already arranged for a nurse to help out.

Ethan was a little surprised. He turned to glance at her. “You sound like an expert. Have you ever been in love?”
They’d worked together for four or five years now, and Ethan had never shown any interest in Tina’s personal life.
That was the professional boundary a boss should maintain.
Tina, on the other hand, knew almost everything about him.
With one hand on the steering wheel, a faint smile played across Tina’s usually frosty face. “Who do you think you’re underestimating? I’m twenty–five, twenty–six – who hasn’t been in love at least once?”
As soon as the words left her mouth, she caught a glimpse of Ethan’s face darkening.
Tina cursed silently. Crap. She’d forgotten that the president had never dated anyone. He’d only ever been the butt of unrequited love jokes.
