The Heir 95

Chapter 95

Were they dating?

Are they Together?

Mia knew how she felt about him-deeply, wholly, ridiculously in love-but she wasn’t sure what they were to him. He made her feel loved. He held her like she was precious. He protected her like she was his everything.

But the words hadn’t been said. Not clearly.

When Alex opened his room door, her thoughts disappeared the moment she saw him. He looked sharp, dressed in a just black hoodie, jeans that sat just right on his waist, and that cocky smirk he wore so well. But his eyes… his eyes softened when they landed on her.

“Ready?” he asked, holding his hand out.

Mia didn’t hesitate. She slipped her fingers into his, letting him lead her out of the house and into the night. The drive was quiet, but not awkward. Alex rested his hand on her thigh, rubbing slow circles with his thumb, and Mia stared out the window, feeling safe… and terrified.

The underground ring was loud before they even got close.

Inside as usual was hot, dim, and packed. The crowd was already buzzing, music pulsing through the speakers.

The last time she was here it was chaos from the shooting, she had ignored all that and ran to look for Alex.

She shakes her head.

She stayed close to Alex. He never let go of her hand, even when people called out to him, or shaking his hand. She could feel their eyes on her, feel their curiosity.

She wasn’t sure what they saw as they subtle stare.

He pulled her through the crowd and into the hallway that led to his dressing room. It was quieter there, the sounds of the crowd muffled by the thick concrete walls.

Alex shut the door behind them. For a moment, he just looked at her.

“You good?” he asked.

Mia nodded. “Yeah… are you?”

He grinned. “I’m always good when you’re here.”

That was the thing about Alex. He could say the simplest things and make them feel like a confession. Mia stepped closer, wrapping her arms around his neck. He leaned down, their foreheads touching.

“Dont say things you don’t mean” she whispered.

“Who said I don’t mean them” he said softly.

Their gaze locks on what feels like forever.

Mia kissed him. Slow. Deep. Her hands tangled in his hair, and his arms wrapped around her waist, pulling her close. For a second, the rest of the world didn’t exist. Just his lips, his breath, the way he made her feel-anchored.

When they pulled apart, he was smiling.

“You’re distracting me,” he murmured, brushing her hair back from her face.

She giggled, biting her bottom lip. “Good.”

Alex laughed, low and deep, then turned toward the table. He pulled off his shirt, revealing the tattoos on his chest, his arms, the sharp lines of muscle that flexed with every movement.

Mia sat on the bench, watching him wrap his hands with tape. Every movement was practiced.

She’d never seen someone look so calm before a storm.

“You nervous?” she asked.

“No,” he said. “Not about the fight.”

She tilted her head. “Then what?”

He paused, looking at her through the mirror. “You.”

Mia’s breath caught. “Me?”

Alex turn to her. “I don’t like it that you’re here Mia ”

“I’m not scared,” she whispered.

He looked at her for a long moment, then he turned to finish his wrap. He slipped into his gloves, cracked his neck, then gave her a wink. “Don’t worry. I’ll put on a good show.”

The crowd roared the second he stepped into view. Chants of his name echoed through the walls. Mia took her seat near the front, her hands clutching her knees.

The fight started fast. His opponent was a large man with broad shoulders and wild eyes. But Alex… Alex moved like water. He dodged, weaved, struck.

His fists flew with speed. Every time he got hit, Mia flinched.

Her heart raced, her stomach twisted. She wanted to look away, but she couldn’t. This was his world. And she was a part of it

now.

The fight went on for what felt like forever. Both men were bleeding, both panting hard. But then-Alex saw an opening. A quick shift in his opponent’s stance. A tiny hesitation.

Alex lunged forward, spinning, and landed a crushing blow to the man’s jaw. His opponent crumpled to the ground.

The room exploded. The cheers, the stomps, the screams—

Mia jumped to her feet, clapping, screaming. Alex look so happy, so free. He stood there, blood dripping down the side of his face, smiling like a kid.

The referee grabbed his hand and lifted it high. “Winner!”

Their eyes met.

Chapter 95.

Even in the chaos, he found her.

And he winked.

Mia blushed so hard she had to look away, smiling to herself like a fool.

And in that moment, all the uncertainty she’d felt earlier melted. Maybe they hadn’t defined what they were. Maybe there were still things unspoken. But this? What they shared? It was real.

And she wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Alex walked out of the cage grinning like a kid who just got exactly what he wanted.

His chest was going up and down, sweat sliding down his body, and his, knuckles were bloodied-

All he could feel was the rush of winning, the fire still burning in his veins from the fight, and something else entirely… her.

He didn’t even hear the crowd chanting his name. Didn’t notice the fists pumping in the air, the high-fives, the loud cheers. It all faded the moment his eyes found Mia in the crowd.

She was standing there, a little breathless, clapping, laughing, her eyes bright and full of so much pride. Her lips trembled like she was about to cry but wouldn’t let herself. She looked like the safest place in the world—and in that moment, all Alex wanted was to be wrapped in her arms, away from the blood and noise.

He walked straight toward her, brushing past people yelling his name, hands trying to grab him.

When he reached her, he didn’t ask, didn’t speak. He just leaned in and kissed her cheek, his lips lingering there longer than they should have. Her skin was soft, warm, familiar. It grounded him. Brought him back to earth.

Then, without another word, he took her hand in his, his fingers lacing tightly through hers, and pulled her through the crowd. Mia didn’t ask where they were going. She didn’t care. She would have followed him anywhere.

They moved quickly, ducking through the hallway that led to his dressing room.

He pulled her inside, shut the door, and without a second of hesitation, pressed his back against it and yanked her to him.

The kiss was nothing like the one in public. This one was fierce. Hungry. It wasn’t slow or gentle—it was desperate, like he had been starved and she was the only thing that could keep him alive.

Mia responded just as eagerly, her hands finding his shoulders, pulling him closer, tasting him like she was drowning and he was her only air.

His body was still warm from the fight, every muscle tight with adrenaline, every nerve alert. But when her fingers brushed his jaw, when she whispered his name in between kisses, all of that melted into something softer.

They didn’t make it to the couch. Clothes came off in a rush, his hoodie tangled somewhere with her shirt, her jeans halfway down her legs before they gave up and collapsed right there,

on the padded bench by the wall. Alex wasn’t gentle-not at first. The fight had left him full of fire, and he poured it all into her. But as their bodies moved together, as their breaths caught and slowed and mingled, everything shifted. It turned

tender. Slow.

Someone banged on the door, yelling his name-probably Lucas or Sammy. But Alex ignored it. He didn’t even flinch. This was the moment he had been craving, needing. Everything else could wait.

When it was over, they lie tangled together, the sweat on his skin beginning to cool, her fingers tracing light circles on his chest. The room smelled of sex and sweat and blood, but it felt like peace.

“I love you” he blurts out before he couldn’t help it.

He watch Mia’s eyes goes wide staring at him, her mouth hanging open.
