Chapter 11
Matt’s outstretched hand paused in the air as he suddenly remembered that he had already divorced Marissa.
He couldn’t even get her belongings!
At that moment, Matt’s mind went blank. He felt like he had been standing still for a long time, yet it also felt like only a second. He heard his own hoarse voice speaking.
“That wasn’t a real divorce, I am still Marissa’s husband, we just
pretended to divorce, it was all fake, all fake…”
“Sorry, legally speaking, you are no longer her husband. The staff member nodded heavily, then called out the next name in line.”
Matt stood there in a daze, watching as one by one they all received mementos of their most important person. But because of that ridiculous decision of fake divorce, he had lost contact with Marissa!
“Ah… Marissa… he groaned in pain.”
In the end, Matt didn’t know how he had gotten back. He returned home in a daze, and Leah was still sitting on the sofa in her wedding dress, wiping away tears. Beside her were her parents, comforting her.
Matt didn’t have the strength to deal with these things now. He lifted his foot to go upstairs to his room, but Ava stopped him with a fierce reprimand.
“Matt, do you know how big of a mistake you made today? You actually left Leah alone at the wedding venue! If you ask me, Marissa is dead and gone, what’s the point of keeping someone like her who can’t even have

children? You and Leah should just get married like this.”
Although Cayden didn’t say anything, he also had an approving expression.
Leah’s heart leaped with joy, but she put on a sorrowful expression on her face. “I understand Matt. Let’s give him a few days to calm down, and then we can redo the wedding.” After saying that, she walked over gently. “Matt, my condolences.”
That was Marissa’s wedding dress.
Matt suddenly realized that his mouth had moved a few times. Leah didn’t hear clearly and asked, “Matt, what did you say?”
“I said, what you’re wearing now is Marissa’s wedding dress. Take it off, you don’t deserve to wear Marissa’s clothes, Matt dodged her hand, his voice cold.”
Leah’s face stiffened, and she forced a smile. “Indeed, Marissa has passed away. It wouldn’t be right for me to wear her wedding dress again. Let’s buy a new one for our wedding ceremony.”
Cayden and Ava also nodded, speaking to themselves, “Leah is right. It’s bad luck to touch things of the deceased. We really do need to buy a new wedding dress, and Marissa’s room, everything inside should be burned. Leah and the children will have to live elsewhere.”
Hearing Cayden and Ava’s words, even though Leah tried to pretend to be sympathetic and sad, she couldn’t help but smile. She had put so much effort into doing all of this, wasn’t it all for this day?
Leah reached out and held Matt’s hand again. “Matt, you still have me and the children. In the future, the three of us will be together as a family.”

Chapter 11
This sentence touched a nerve in Matt, he suddenly looked up and said, “Get out! Just get out!”
Leah was startled, took a step back, and then instinctively clutched her stomach, “It hurts, Matt…”
Cayden and Ava hurried over, but Matt didn’t even look at them, he just went back to his room and slammed the door shut.
After shutting out the noise from outside, he leaned against the door and
slid down.
“Marissa…..”
Once, Marissa destroyed her uterus in order to save him. He vowed to treat her well and live a DINK life together forever. Who would have thought that before a lifetime had passed, they were already worlds apart.
Matt maintained this posture all night. He had already planned it out – Marissa’s parents were overseas and unreachable by flight, so as long as he could arrange for someone to handle it, he would be able to obtain Marissa’s belongings. He was determined to hold a funeral for her first, and he had no intention of taking Leah’s child. He wanted to spend the rest of his life with Marissa.
After thinking it through, Matt walked out of the room and hurriedly greeted the manager.
“Mr. Holloway, you finally came out, Ms. Jensen had an accident!”
