Chapter 10
“Did I not warn you that I’d give you anything you wanted–except letting Evelyn know about your
existence?!”
“Didn’t I make it clear? In this life, I have only one mate–Evelyn!”
Dante’s face was deathly pale, his glare cold and vicious. An overwhelming chill emanated from
him.

Natalia shook her head, eyes reddened as she tried to defend herself.
“She was the one who called and yelled at me first. I was just too pissed to let it slide, so I fought
back.”
“If she hadn’t started it, why would I go after her?”
་
Dante’s eyes gleamed with rage. He suddenly grabbed Natalia by the throat, squeezing hard.
“Still trying to make excuses? Do you think Evelyn would ever stoop to calling and cursing you?
You’re not even worth her time!”
“How dare you?”
Natalia gasped for breath, her face turning a deep shade of purple. She choked out a few words:
“It hurts… my stomach… it hurts so much…”
Dante took a sharp breath, then slowly let go, gritting his teeth.
“If you weren’t pregnant, I’d kill you right now! Be grateful you’re still carrying my child!”
Natalia panted heavily and shrank away to the side, trembling.
Dante, enraged, grabbed a nearby chair and hurled it at the screen with full force. The glass
shattered across the floor.
Like a madman, he drove everyone out and wrecked the entire venue in a fit of fury.
And just like that, the entire farce ended in a disastrous mess.
He smashed everything in a fit of rage, and in the end, he was the only one left standing amid the wreckage of what was once a grand wedding on the lawn.

Debris was scattered everywhere. In the chaos, Dante picked himself up and dialed Felicity.
The call connected, but before he could speak, Felicity’s voice dripped with sarcasm.
“Isn’t today the grand wedding of Alpha Dante? Congratulations. Too bad I couldn’t make it. What a pity to miss the wedding of the century!”
Dante looked haggard, his voice hoarse as he tried to explain.
“It was all a misunderstanding. Evelyn misunderstood me. I’ll explain everything to her.”
“A misunderstanding?”
Felicity scoffed on the other end.
“Getting your first love pregnant is a misunderstanding? Dante, no one knows better than you how
much Evelyn sacrificed for this relationship.”
Evelyn grew up in the capital of the werewolf kingdom, raised within the most powerful pack. Her Alpha parents adored her as the pack’s heir apparent, and within the royals, she commanded
extensive connections.
But after finding Dante as her fated mate, she chose to stay with him, returning to her old pack only once a year to spend a week with her parents.
In the five years since becoming Dante’s Luna, outsiders assumed she was just a trophy wife.
But few knew that some of Dante’s most crucial connections were quietly maintained by Evelyn
herself.
Dante’s face turned deathly pale. It took him a while before he finally asked in a rasp: “Evelyn… does she know Natalia is pregnant?”
Felicity let out a mocking laugh.
“What? You actually thought you could hide this from Evelyn forever? Don’t tell me you were planning to let your side chick secretly have the kid and raise it behind her back?”
At that moment, Felicity felt relieved that Evelyn had gotten out in time.
Dante—the hypocrite pretending to be devoted–was never worthy of walking through life with someone like Evelyn.
She deserved so much better.

“Where is Evelyn? I need to find her. I need to explain everything.”
Felicity’s tone suddenly shifted. She narrowed her eyes and said:
“Only if you can make Natalia get an abortion, I might tell you where Evelyn is.”
Dante hesitated for a moment before letting out a heavy sigh.
eyes.
“You don’t know… Evelyn can’t have children. Once Natalia gives birth, I’ll make sure she leaves the pack for good–she’ll never set foot in Frosthaven again.”
Felicity silently shook her head, feeling once again how undeserving Evelyn was of everything she
had endured.
Her best friend had once taken the blame for Dante’s inability to have children, all because she loved him too deeply. And yet, even after Evelyn left, Dante was still obsessing over having a child.
Even if Evelyn truly couldn’t bear children, he should never have chosen the cruelest way–having his first love give birth to their child.
“I have nothing to say to you, Dante. But one day, you will pay for what you’ve done.”
Dante frowned, feeling something off in Felicity’s tone.
He wanted to question her further, but she had already hung up.
Still unwilling to give up, Dante began calling Evelyn’s friends one by one, trying desperately to find out where she had gone.
He made dozens of calls but got nothing. No one knew where Evelyn was.
Hopelessness consumed him.
Clenching his phone until it cracked in his hand, he hurled the shattered pieces to the floor and roared, “Thorne!”
The next moment, Thorne appeared at his side. “Alpha.”
“Find her!” Dante ordered. “Send word to the entire pack–search everywhere! I want Luna found, no matter what!”
