“Dante.”
Dante’s back stiffened. Without turning around, he quickly shoved Natalia underwater, keeping her
submerged.
“Evelyn?”
His expression turned panicked as he spun around to face her. “What are you doing here?”
Evelyn stood at the shore with a cold, mocking smile. “Oh, nothing. You mentioned a rogue entering our territory. As the pack’s Luna, I figured I should come check it out too, shouldn’t I?”
Hearing that it wasn’t his affair being exposed, Dante let out a sigh of relief. “I already chased off that lost wolf. Everything’s fine now. I shifted earlier and worked up a sweat, so I came to the lake to cool off. It’s chilly by the water this time of night. You should head back.”
As soon as he said that, the water beside him rippled again and a trail of bubbles rose to the surface
-Natalia was clearly running out of air.
Evelyn caught on instantly and smiled, then deliberately stalled. “Are you sure? You don’t want me to join you?”
She slipped off her shoes and dipped her legs into the lake, right where the bubbles had appeared.
Startled, Natalia frantically tried to swim away, but as she surfaced for air, Dante shoved her down
hard again.
“The water’s cold. You should go home–I’ll be back soon!” Dante said quickly, his voice tight with
panic.
All he wanted was for Evelyn to leave.
Evelyn gave a serene smile. “Alright. But don’t forget–if something like this happens again, you can always call me along. After all, I am the pack’s Luna.”
Dante forced a stiff smile and nodded.
Once the lake had calmed down, Evelyn stood up, satisfied, and walked away.
Only when she disappeared into the woods did Dante hurriedly pull Natalia out of the water.
She had nearly drowned. When she finally caught her breath, she was furious but didn’t dare say a

word. After all, she had been the one to tell Evelyn their location–she just hadn’t expected Evelyn to actually show up.
Staring in the direction Evelyn had left and thinking back to her parting words-“I am the pack’s Luna“-Natalia felt a surge of resentment.
Dante, however, looked uneasy. “Do you think Evelyn noticed anything?”
Meanwhile, as Evelyn walked back to the pack house, Evelyn called her mother, Rosalie.
“Mom, I’m coming back to the pack in seven days… to see you and Dad.”
On the other end of the call, Rosalie immediately sensed something was wrong. Her brows furrowed deeply.
“Is Dante coming with you?”
“I’m coming alone.”
“Alright.” Rosalie’s tone darkened–she already suspected the worst. “Don’t cry. I’ll pick you up at the airport.”
Late that night, Dante returned home, making a ruckus and waking up Evelyn.
He was drunk, holding her face and kissing her relentlessly.
Perhaps because Evelyn had suddenly gotten angry that night, he murmured in a restless tone:
“Baby, I love you so much. You can yell at me, hit me, but please never leave me. Alright? I’d never
cheat on you. Never.”
He probably forgot that he had just made love to Natalia in the lake.
Evelyn stared at him, cold and silent.
Too wasted to remember, he hadn’t even wiped off the lipstick smeared on his neck.
Yet the love in his eyes?
It looked real.
The next morning, Evelyn woke up in a daze.
Dante squeezed toothpaste for her, handed her warm mouthwash, and chose her clothes for the

day.
When Evelyn was ready, they both went downstairs together.
At breakfast, his phone buzzed. He glanced at the screen, then gave her an apologetic look.
“Evelyn, I won’t be back tonight. I have a pack meeting.”
Evelyn paused in her action of eating a sandwich. She knew Dante was going to spend the day with
Natalia, but she didn’t bother to confront him.
“Alright.”
After Dante left, Evelyn drove to follow him.
Twenty minutes later, Dante entered a nice residential community.
Natalia, dressed in a white dress with a classic checkered scarf, looked elegant and beautiful.
She waved excitedly when she saw Dante’s Bentley, then quickly ran to the car and climbed in.
It seemed they had some intimate time in the car before Dante drove out of the neighborhood.
Half an hour later, the black Bentley pulled up in front of a wedding photography studio.
Natalia hopped out of the passenger seat, and when Dante approached, she casually linked her arm with his, walking into the building together.
The receptionist at the door, spotting the two of them, greeted them warmly:
“Alpha and Natalia, welcome! We’ve cleared the space in advance. Let me show you the wedding photo types we’ll be shooting.”
Inside the car, Evelyn watched the scene, a rush of coldness spreading through her body.
Suddenly, her phone rang.
Evelyn checked the screen. It was her best friend, Felicity, calling.
“Evelyn! Let’s grab tea–where are you?” Felicity’s cheerful voice crackled through the speaker.
“The bridal studio on Elm Street.”
A beat of silence. Then-
“You’re redoing your wedding photos after FIVE YEARS?! Ugh, fine, I’ll be there in twenty.”
Evelyn’s mind drifted off as she bitterly replied, “Felicity, he’s not taking wedding photos with
me.”
Felicity was stunned for a few seconds before realizing something was off:
“He’s taking wedding photos with another woman? Dante’s cheating? No way! Hold on, I’ll be there in twenty minutes!”
Twenty minutes later, Evelyn climbed into Felicity’s car.
Inside Felicity’s car, Evelyn played the damning voice message from a month ago -Natalia’s
mocking words, the proof she’d left deliberately.
Then she gestured to the studio, where Dante was adjusting Natalia’s gown.
“Today’s her birthday. He brought her here to play bride.”
Felicity followed Evelyn’s gaze.
Inside the studio, Dante was lowering his head to adjust Natalia’s wedding dress collar.
Felicity furrowed her brows in anger. “I can’t take this anymore! I’m going in there and give them a piece of my mind!”
Felicity, being a straightforward werewolf with a fiery temper, rolled up her sleeves, ready to storm into the studio, but Evelyn stopped her.
“Wait, I want to see what they do next.”
Half an hour later, Dante and Natalia exited the studio.
One of them was wearing a sharp black suit, and the other wore a snow–white waist–cinched wedding dress.
After some time, they arrived at the lakeside.
Over the next half hour, they changed into three different outfits–two suits and a wedding dress. Finally, they left.
“Do we still need to follow them?” Felicity asked.
“Follow them.”

Evelyn lowered her gaze and slowly looked out the window.
She wanted to see where Dante and Natalia were headed next.
An hour later, the Bentley stopped at a Western restaurant.
Since it wasn’t mealtime, only a few tables were occupied, and there were screens separating the
seats.
It was clear Dante had taken precautions.
Evelyn saw Dante and Natalia walk in. She quickly bought a different outfit and changed, wearing a mask and a large hat. Only then did she enter the restaurant.
Felicity had already greased the right palms, throwing enough cash to secure the table directly behind Dante’s.
As soon as they sat down, a middle–aged couple was shown to the table next to them by the waiter.
The couple looked to be in their fifties, and while they seemed like ordinary people, the woman’s appearance bore a striking resemblance to Natalia.
“Wait, is Dante meeting Natalia’s parents?” Felicity gasped.
The answer to her question didn’t come from Evelyn, but from Dante himself.
He took Natalia’s hand and said, “With your parents present today, I’ll speak plainly. Natalia, will you be
my Luna?”
