But I never expected his contracts would fall apart so quickly. To be fair, Nash did have some business talent.
I sorted through all my clients, personally maintaining the major accounts and quickly establishing clear
boundaries with Nash.
By the time I finished, three days had passed.
Opening my chat with Nash, I saw it still showed our last dinner conversation.
Nash hadn’t returned home these past three days, which was just as well.
I went back to pack up his belongings and texted him: “When are you coming to get your stuff?”
According to our agreement, the apartment would be mine.
To my surprise, the second I sent it, I immediately received a red exclamation mark!
Nash had actually blocked me?!
Ridiculous. I called a delivery service to send all his belongings to Building 16.
The delivery guy said that Nash had answered the door himself, looking visibly upset.
But that was no longer my concern.
When Nash had pursued me, he always apologized first after every argument.
After marriage, Nash and I rarely fought. He once said I’d changed, becoming unusually calm, which made him
insecure.
But I hadn’t changed, I’d just grown up. Marriage isn’t dating; shouting matches solve nothing.
My calmness was self–restraint.
I thought we could part ways peacefully at this point.
Unexpectedly, three days later, Nash’s parents showed up at my door.
Seeing them, I was startled but still invited them in.
Nash’s mother wore her usual disdainful expression.
‘Nash says you want a divorce. I never approved of this relationship from the start. Five years together and not even a child to show for it!”

“And now you’re filing for divorce!” she added accusingly,
I met her gaze evenly. “Is there something specific you needed?”
My calm tone only fueled her anger.
“Listen here–you’re thirty already. You can divorce if you want, but what gives you the right to take so much of my son’s money?!”
Huh! So that’s what this was about–the property division.
I couldn’t help but laugh. “Because Nash cheated. If you don’t want me to take more, I suggest you leave right now. Otherwise, I’ll mass–distribute evidence of his affair.”
“You! You vindictive woman! You’re too old to give him children, and you’re upset my son found someone else? How dare you!”
Nash’s father interjected: “Nash took a beating from me for your sake back then. Now that you’re leaving him, don’t push him to the edge!”
I frowned. “Cut to the chase. What do you want?”
His father cleared his throat. “The property settlement–we want you to back down.”
I laughed incredulously and called Nash. Yet Kira answered.
“Look, lady, you’re getting divorced–stop harassing Nash! What’s your problem?”
“Until I have that divorce certificate, you’re still the other woman. Tell Nash to control his parents. If they come here again, I’m posting your dirty laundry online.”
After hanging up, I faced his parents. “Heard that? Try this again, and I won’t be so nice.”
“You old hag! You stole five years of our son’s youth, and now you want all that money? You’re insatiable!” his
mother spat.
Without hesitation, I called security and had property management remove them. Then I contacted Zoe to expedite the lawsuit against Kira.
Additionally, I cut off all remaining business resources connected to Nash!
Since he was going to send his parents to harass me, I wouldn’t hold back.
His parents visited in the morning; by afternoon, Nash cornered me in the parking garage, his eyes bloodshot with fury.
“Harlow, you’ve gone too far! If you have a problem, come at me–why are you suing Kira?”
