Cornered, Elaine ran to Andreas for help. She used the last of her money to get him drunk and then pretended to be me, luring him into bed.
“Andy, I’m your fiancee… Let’s get married again, okay?” she whispered.
Unfortunately, Andreas had always known that if I loved someone, I would never use such underhanded tactics. In the end, what greeted Elaine was the sound of wailing sirens.
The evidence of Elaine drugging Andreas was irrefutable. When the Wilde family found out, no one lifted a finger to bail her out.
The next day, Andreas bought the rundown apartment I had been renting.
When the landlord handed him the keys, he sighed and said, “The young lady who rented this place before was a brilliant scientist–I don’t know who lives in that building across the way, but she chose to live in my crummy apartment instead of a luxury complex, all for whoever was over there.”

As he went through everything I’d left behind, he discovered that aside from scientific research books, the rest were love letters I’d written to him.
I had secretly loved him for seven years, and I’d written it all down, filling three thick notebooks.
Andreas flipped through those three volumes of love letters, and before he knew it, he lifted his hand to his face. He hadn’t even realized when the tears started falling.
He had lost someone so brilliant and so full of love for him.
Andreas continued calling me and sending messages every day, but I never answered. Not anymore.
